Odom to be Charged, Perrilloux Cleared

Re: Perriloux, Odom out for LSU!!!

Yeah, it looks like Perriloux was only guilty of being at a club past 2:00 a.m. and hanging with a bad crowd, but I hope he learns something from all this.

As for Odom and Benton, they are kicked off the team. Good Riddance! I think no player should be immune. There are a lot of LSU fans on the rant feeling pretty bad about wanted RP kicked off for this.

Sure, RP will be able to play against Bama, but I think it will be little to no effect. If his mind is clear, sure, he'll be another player to consider. However, this is a road SEC game that LSU has to prepare for. If we are going for a national championship, we have to get past Bama first. Bama appears to be playing very good football.

We'll learn alot about both teams by Saturday.

Re: Perriloux, Odom out for LSU!!!

According to this article Odom and Benton will be dismissed from the team and Perrilloux will be reinstated after being cleared of any wrongdoing.

WJBO has learned that Ryan Perrilloux will be cleared of wrongdoing in the nightclub incident last week. Sources tell us he will more than likely make the trip to Alabama. Derrick Odom and Jeremy Benton are expected to be dismissed from the team. Stay with WJBO and wjbo.com for updates.

Re: Perriloux, Odom out for LSU!!!

This is about what we expected. Perrilloux has just been in the wrong place hanging with the wrong people in all three of his incidents and only was arrested once--for trying to get into a bar with his brother's ID.

Odom has been arrested twice already, both for violence, threats, and property damage. He was on zero-tolerence double-secret probation and we were all surprised that he survived his last incident. Benton instigated one of Odoms fights. No way was Odom or Benton going to survive another public fight. Benton is a walk-on and neither he nor Odom have seen the field for LSU. When you don't contribute and you embarass your team multiple times, you are expendable and just open up another scholarship under Les' 85-man limit.

Re: Perriloux, Odom out for LSU!!!

That Odom has been bad news period. Still RP is no angel he knew about Odom and chose to hang with him anyway, he just thank his lucky stars he came out unscathed.

Re: Perriloux, Odom out for LSU!!!

I object to the retitling of my post. I would never use three exclamation points!!!

;)

It was changed by someone else to the exclamation marks after I initially changed the title to a question mark at the end. I knew RP would somehow be cleared of any wrongdoing. lol

Question about the Odom, Perillioux outcome

Just how big a dent will it mean to the LSU team for Odom not to play? And is the other guy going to play or not?

Re: Question about the Odom, Perillioux outcome

Odom has not ever played, no dent, no ding, no problem. He is gone. As far a RP playing I would say that is highly likely.

Yeah, at this point RP will be able to practice which means he'll be able to play. To what extent and effectiveness is the question. Seems like back-up QBs always have career days against us.

Most of the time if you are at the wrong place at the wrong time several times you are in the wrong. I know people that know RP and he is a thug. It is sad to see this to say the least. I was hoping LM had more discipline. He has said RP was gonna be given one more chance and it looks like LM and I have different ideas of what one more chance is.

I'd rather have a 100% Glen Dorsey, but thanks to dirty play from Auburn, that's not going to happen.

I think Dorsey being less than 100% will have a huge impact on this game, I'm surprised it isn't getting more attention. How effective he'll be, and if needed how his back up plays, will help decide the outcome. What ya'll think?

I think it will have an effect mainly on him getting pressure on the QB. I think it will allow Andre Smith to stick to his assignments and not have to lend helping hand. The main think I think it will do is cause LSU to have to bring somebody else up to pressure. If we can pick up on that then we will be able to capitalize in the passing game. Should be interesting.

Well, its gonna be tough on Bama either way. Lsu's defense is just good, but with Dorsey they are very good. I'd heard that he was around 75% as of yesterday, not sure if Miles may be holding back a bit on that or not.
IMO, I expect Dorsey to play if he's anywhere close to 100% by Sat, even if not every snap. He's definitely a fun player to watch on that defense, and seems like a class guy, so I would like to see him play.
He'll be going up against Britt on the Oline, so it will be interesting to see how that match-up goes, and how effective he might be for lsu.

Re: Perriloux, Odom out for LSU!!!

"Mr. Perrilloux stated no one in his group had any weapons and felt they were mistreated because of their skin color."

Pardon me while I vomit.
