Is Ai coming for your job? (also, updated Ai development)

This. My father died of CJ. A proper diagnosis would not have, obviously, affected the ultimate outcome, but only one of three doctors read his brain scan correctly and he was unsure of himself, having just graduated Med School. I mean, what were the odds?

I hate to hear that... It is indeed a tough diagnosis. And such an implacable foe.

CJD is only 1-2 cases per million per year and we have three mentioned on this board already.

Having known first hand of two and more close ones where I'm only separated by one person, I think the CDC's numbers are absurd and everyone I know of who's been directly affected agrees...

I'd like to know the followup. I hope they got that child to the ER to check for a ruptured spleen and other internal organs. Internal bleeding sometimes shows up slowly...
That kid got kicked hard. He was in some pain.

I'm keeping a close eye on the development of the household robots. The Teslas Optimus being an example. It may turn out to not be the best option, and that's what I'm looking for. The time one could save in the household if it can really perform the tasks you need in the house could be well worth the money. Time can never be purchased, and the possible stress reduction within the home could be valuable as well.

I feel like the Kaylon plot line in The Orville is coming into view quickly...

And here I sit, the guy who doesn’t use any smart devices outside of my phone (no smart tv, no Alexa, etc), and even then uses a private web browser to access social media…

Ain’t no way I’m inviting these tech bros into my personal life with a robot laden with cameras and other sensors accessing every corner of my home.

What about when that 'robot' becomes a fully functional android;) (I should also add anatomically correct)
