When I was at Ft. Hood (Texas), an artillery platoon shelled a town neighboring the military base for about 30 minutes. Not continuously, thank God, but every few minutes a 155mm round would land in someone's yard or field. I'm sure you can imagine the uproar. This was 2000-2001 timeframe.

Just build a wall around California and Massachusetts. A lot less material needed and 95% of the fruits and nuts will be contained as long as we jam their airwaves.

Am I reading that right in that the second-place guy in the House vote will be VP? In essence, Bush could be Pres. and Kerry VP?

Do you have a link for that scenario? Given how this election has gone so far, that would be about par for the course.
