The craziest thing about this is he only knows Norwegian because there was a book he wanted to read that was only in Norwegian. So, he learned Norwegian to read it. Who does that?

He's really good at re-framing things. In a few interviews, he's made the point that Hillary allowed the 2016 campaign to became a battle of personalities rather than a battle of ideas. The "I'm With Her" slogan, for instance. He's not the only one saying this in the 2020 field, and I think Dems largely learned this in 2018, but he cautions that the next election message can't be, "Trump is bad, we have to remove him." Give something for people to vote for, not someone to vote against.
It's a poster for a handball tournament. I particularly like the last line - "It's your child playing handball - not you." I didn't spell out each line. It's just the rules for the tournament, where to gather, etc. I learned Bokmål, the standard for the country and used mostly in the east. It has a strong resemblance to Danish. In the west, they speak Nynorsk, which despite the name is really older. I have a couple of Facebook Norwegian friends who live even west of Bergen. Their dialect is "Vestlandet," and it differs significantly from Nynorsk. I stretch my brain by using that, even though it's basically regarded as sort of a "country" dialect. I interpreted a German warning which a friend had taken a pic of, warning of CO when the stove was lit, in an old German bunker. I used the Nynorsk for the word "warning." She replied that, at last, I was "at home" in Nynorsk. Interesting phrase. I had an elderly German neighbor comment that I was "at home" in German...
