A Scene from Practice

I'm starting to think that if you never played football you shouldn't post on this thread. It's about as common as speeding on the interstate...

i played 4 years of high school football...

sorry i didnt know that all of you talk to mr. gilberry on a regular basis and knew exactly what he was thinking when he did that...

I know exactly what he wast thinking. Deaton was giving Clark the business, so Gilberry took exception. End of story. I hate that he was the one to start the donnybrook. It was Clark's job to put it on Deaton. That's what I didn't like about it.

haha.... that was cute

i'd be willing to bet that all of you wouldn't be so happy about this if (god forbid) jeremy clark or gilberry broke an arm or a leg... or even rolled an ankle..

I don't like what Gilberry did one bit. I don't like that they all piled on and it became OL vs DL. There was, however, nothing wrong with Deaton and Clark getting a little "wound up" after the play, as long as it stays contained to the guys involved.

I do like it became unit v unit and evervone was involved. In my world if my friends even think I need help they aren't waiting on a call they show up. Football ain't fair, I wouldn't like it if it was. If they stand as a unit, maybe they can be taught some of the rules later.

Played high school ball for four years. Guess that does make you an expert on the boards here.....

And it would actually appear that it is you who believes you knew what Gilberry was thinking, not the other way around.

Had a friend that graduated from the army rangers training. That night they all went to town and got drunk. Before the night was out, they had "borrowed" a bus. They ended up in the local jail.

The next scene, their CO is standing in front of the cell looking at the sorry sight of his drunken troops. The CO turns to the local sheriff and says,
"I have one question. Did they do it as a unit?"
The sheriff replied. "Yes sir, every man was involved"
The CO said, "Git my men outta that damned cell."

It looked like the offense was getting after the defense if I understand the jersey colors. Git my men outta jail - and tell them to do it again in Sept but without a flag.
