There is a lot wrong with this statement. First of all, no one retired Tua to the bench except Georgia last year, and of course Tennessee/Mississippi State this year. Each of those were because he was, perhaps unwisely, trying to extend plays. NOT because the opposing defense was doing anything special in getting to him.
Also, despite their win against us, I beg to differ that Nix torched our defense. He didn't hit 200 yards passing, and had a 50% completion rate. He made some nice plays, but nothing special. I'll agree, our defense didn't get enough stops in the game especially in critical situations. But this notion that Nix looked like an All-American against us... that dog won't hunt. Which of course, makes the result all the more infuriating.
The defense is going to do fine in this game. The offense is going to score a lot of points. We'll win if we don't turn the ball over. We'll blow them out if our LBs have a good game.
