The odds? Single digits, IMO.

Melvin Bratton is being reported as being involved in this situation.
Just reported on Jox.
He was involved also with the Jamarcus Russell incident.
Do you know if Melvin still works for DeBartolo?
I believe the official statement from the University went something like, "Andre Smith has been suspended from participating in the Sugar Bowl due to a violation of team rules and polices."
From what has been gleaned to this point, it appears that a relative or distant relative had contact with an agent or a runner for an agent without Andre's knowledge. I seriously doubt that action would constitute a "team violation" if Andre had no knowledge or there was no evidence of his knowledge.
Could it be that Andre's violation of the "team rules and policies" may have to do with his cooperation, or lack thereof, in the University's investigation?
If his family member did something it pretty much means Andre isnt coming back wether he wants to or not.
So, if you think the AG should do his job, why would you distort the issue by stating your disdain for the AG? What does that have to do with the topic at hand? And here I thought Troy King had been AG for 4 years. Learn something new every day I guess.
Why would my opinion of the AG affect whether or not I think the agent in question should be investigated? If he ignored the issue, I'd just like him even less.
At this point, any blame should be leveled at that runaway cesspool of money known as the NFL.
Finebaum said yesterday that Andre wouldn't turn over cell-phone records when asked for them.

Finebaum isn't the only one saying it either.
Why? There is plenty of precedent for it. See Cecil's most recent column.
