Auburn Recruiting Class?

I hope this doesnt get me in trouble...but...auburn will be put on probation in the next 2-3 years for their recruiting tactics.The powers that be over there will lie ,cheat,andsteal to keep up with Bama.They are not at all comfortable with slipping back to their old ways and will not go down with out a fight.Unfortunately for auburn, the NCAA doesnt let you pay players in the southern states.

Slipping back to their "old ways" will definitely get them on probation. They had better not be comfortable with it........but they think that is the only way.

according to the LSU boards, Reed had a 'great' visit in Baton Rouge.

there is a lot of pressure by his hometown and HS coach to stay in-state and play for the Bayou Bengals.

of course, the barners think his commitment to them is "solid".

Anyone think that if the 'impossible' happened and Reed or Coleman decided to go to another school, AU fans would immediately accuse the other school of cheating? I think a pretty good chance.

Oh I definitely think so!! in fact, that would be their only solace for those two huge loss.

not to mentioned that their so-called great recruiting class would begin to look average at best.

when Lattimore commits to USC, the barners with their usual pathetic response: "we didn't want him anyway", we have the best RB in the country..:conf3:

This may be the best class Auburn's had in some time. (* wise)
I'm not convinced that this class will meet their needs.
Their class is heavy with 4* types, but I fail to see how they will fit.
Auburn is at least recruiting better athletes than Tubby did. Gone are the days when the Folks from Lee Co. bragged about recruiting 'Character players'.
Auburn is working harder to compete than they have been.
Time will tell.

Auburn's class could easily fall apart, at least to a large degree. Seastrunk is headed to Oregon (likely), Lattimore will probably go to SoCar, Coleman could easily spurn them for us, Reed looks like he may go to LSU now, etc. Plus even many Auburn fans openly concede that a few highly-touted commitments -- Richardson, Carter, etc. -- have serious academic problems and are perhaps longshots to qualify. A lot of those things happen, and this is nothing more than the typical recruiting classes they signed in the final years of the Tubby regime.

Then again, who knows? Maybe they swing Lattimore, hold on to Coleman, hold on to Reed, maybe swing Grant, and it's down to Auburn and FSU for Lemonier. They win their fair share of those battles and it is easily their best class in a decade.

And, of course, we're in the exact same boat, really. Allen and Grant could easily spurn us, Stone looks Knoxville bound now, and who knows what other surprises may lay in store. This thing could go south quickly. On the other hand we could close like gangbusters and it wouldn't surprise anybody. I'll tell you, though, I think we have a hell of a lot more drama at this point than Saban and company would like (or expected a week ago).

Nothing is guaranteed for anyone, honestly. We're all in the same boat... no one really knows what will happen with a bunch of 18-year old males, and we're just all hoping that it works out for our team in the end. I'll honestly be glad when NSD is over...
