I will take that ranking. I have said all year that texas got us at the right time. If we played them in week 5 instead of week 2 we beat them by 2 td's. We have got better with each game, texas has stayed the same team.

Iowa would of beat FSU last nite. Maybe 3-0, but they would of won.
You can see a lot of the personal biases of some of these talking heads this morning, not wanting Alabama to get in. So frustrating to listen to their flawed logic. FSU as they are now are NOT one of the 4 BEST teams! It's really not hard to see.

I think they tried to do it but one of the detractors was the ACC. It will be interesting to see if they benefit or get screwed.
So how does the number one ranked team lose in a close game and drop to what - number five or six? How low did Ohio State drop after losing to Michigan?

The actual odds to make the playoffs show us a #5. These odds just show you that even if FSU gets in, there is no chance they could win it. Bama’s chance of winning it are better even if there is only a 10% chance we get in. Think about how ludicrous that is.

Follow up dumb question- what does that even mean and how do they measure it? Time in the lead?
If the first criterion is conference championship, Alabama has a national championship to give back in 2017.
Those are separation criteria when a team is not "indisputably" one of the "four best teams."
I think we are in but the CFP would be justified in keeping us out, too.

It's based on the chance that an avg Top 25 team would control a game from start to finish as well given the same schedule.
