Border thread part II

Whatever we are paying them, it surely is less than the cartels. Mexico is a failed drug state at this point.
Yeah, I can't argue with that. And we lack the cojones that the cartels have. They'll tear off your skin and make a hat with it. U.S. diplomats can......I dunno, threaten to raise tariffs on avocados?

When you show weakness you invite attack on many levels. Russia, China, Iran, the Houthi's, and now a far-leftist Mexican president that thinks he can push us around. Show your enemies your neck and they will chop your head off.

I have always felt the illegal immigration was a manufactured crisis. Meaning some powerful people are being incentivized to exacerbate the problem while a Democrat is in office...

As for the cartels, where is Chuck Norris and Delta Force when you need them?

Nothing, but here’s a fun thought experiment: would attitudes re: J6 sound different around here had it been carried out by mostly illegals? Or would attitudes about illegals sound differently? I’m reasonably certain something would change.
Thought experiements are generally useful only where there's a shred of possibility in them. I don't see that many illegals flocking to Trump's banner. Deflection attempt noted, though.

No deflection; I was talking to someone else. He asked a question about what one had to do with the other and I answered it. Then I tossed out a fun thought I’d had that merely demonstrates how predictable this is all getting.

Who are these "powerful people"? Did they make Biden role back border policies that were in place? Are they going to Central and South America and sending these people north? This is some conspiracy theory stuff.

Also, I would like to send Chuck Norris in a well. Superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas.

FWIW, the cartels control the avocados
Dammit. Well, at least they’re still cheaper than cocaine. I hate the idea that I might be giving money to the cartels, but my wife would lose her mind if I suggested we stop buying them. They’re actually a staple in our diets. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ending Title 42

Biden didnt invent this crisis nor the rules and regulations within our immigration system. He has not invited the migrants to come to America. He inherited this situation from Trump who inherited it from Obama with a lot of societal disintegration mixed in.

And yes it is a manufactured crisis with the players being Congress, Republicans particularly, drug cartels, smugglers, other countries, our own court system, and activist litigators. No one is working together and everyone self-interested agenda.

The real conspiracy being promoted is this is all Biden's fault... And you have the hook in your mouth.

If Trump wins and the immigration influx decreases materially, it will prove that...

1) It was a manufactured crisis,
2) The Trump administration is breaking a whole bunch of laws to prevent, detain, deport immigrants, and
3) The Trump administration has committed a few human rights violations to prevent, detain, deport immigrants.

The only way to fix this is for...
- Congress to pass legislation funding and modernizing our immigration, naturalization, and work visa system.
- Remove autocratic regimes from power in countries south of the US.
- Apply for asylum through the US Embassy in the migrants native country.
- Eradicate the cartels as terrorists.

Who are these "powerful people"? Did they make Biden role back border policies that were in place? Are they going to Central and South America and sending these people north? This is some conspiracy theory stuff.

Another example of a racist xenophobic republican with a poor concept of reality due to his shortcomings as a person.

Michigan GOP lawmaker claims that buses carrying March Madness teams are ‘illegal invaders’

A right-wing Michigan state lawmaker who has been tied to former President Donald Trump and his election denials is being widely criticized after making claims that buses carrying college athletes to Detroit for March Madness were immigrant “invaders” being shuttled into the city illegally.

Michigan state House Rep. Matt Maddock made the claim Wednesday night in a social media post accompanied by photos of three buses near an Allegiant plane at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Maddock wrote that the buses “just loaded up with illegal invaders.”

“Anyone have any idea where they’re headed with their police escort?” Maddock wrote on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

Four college basketball teams traveling to Detroit for the second weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament arrived by plane Wednesday evening, the Wayne County Airport Authority said in a statement. The “buses seen in a photograph circulating online were transporting the basketball teams and their respective staffs,” the statement added.

Maddock’s post drew swift criticism on social media, with multiple accounts noting that an earlier post on the Gonzaga men’s basketball team’s social media page had indicated their departure for Detroit, featuring an Allegiant plane.

he’s just doing it for the lulz /s

If made law, Senate Bill 388, which mimics a Texas law at the heart of a federal court battle, would further insert Louisiana into a political feud between Republicans and President Joe Biden over a rise in the number of crossings at the southern U.S. border. Republican Gov. Jeff Landry has stoked that feud in recent months, appearing in February at the border with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
