Brown Apologizes

I am not so much worried about what KB said...I'm more worried about what the article said about Capps-- "At right tackle, Capps (knee) is expected to start, despite sustaining a knee strain"

I with ya! Hell, P.J. Fitzgerald at leasts stands in front of the opposing team and causes them to fall. I'd put him in before "The Matador." OLE!!!!

My knee is killing me.
You, the trainer, are hurting it more by twisting it around like a Gumby special.
My team is in a dogfight with LSU.
My team needs me in the game.
My career may be at stake. I hope it's nothing serious
There's a da*n camera in my face.
My family is depending on me to get to the NFL.

I just simply can't imagine why he would lash out like that when sprawled out on the middle of the field. No apology necessary in my opinion.

We've got players apologizing, a player quitting, a player walking to the fence on the sideline to talk to daddy while the rest of the defense is being coached... Makes me think that the discipline isn't there to begin with...

First of all, if you've followed Guillon's career you wouldn't find him quitting all that suprising. The guy quit at Miami, and quit on his teammates long before he left the team here. As for someone talking to their father, I can not speak of that. For Keith Brown, I would probally have a few choice words if I was injured like he was. I'm sure he was frustrated and scared it was worse than it appeared. That game was the first meaningful PT since being hurt against Ole Miss. You seem to being grasping at anything out there.

The whole time the camera was on him it was wrenching to me and everyone watching with me. Its not proper invade an injury like that. Especially when you can hear things that shouldent be said over the speakers (Language, Diagnosis) To me, as a fan, I want to know whats wrong. But maybe I am falling behind the times in this information age. I dont care about now now now. I know its none of my business what happened, but as a fan I can wait and hear what may or may not be said by the player or coach.

All aside, I hope ESPN learned a lesson from this MISTAKE.

Funny. Speaking of "man enough", I'm reminded of Tim Castille's response when he was injured against UT. It went something like this, "I didn't have time to think about the pain. I just got up and hopped off the field becuase I didn't want to harm our chances of stalling a possible game winning drive". Now that's a real man.

I don't quite see where apologizing is a sign of a lack of discipline...just my thoughts.

It's what they are doing to cause them to NEED to apologize. i.e. disrespecting your opposing coach to the media before you play his team and get beat. (Jimmy Johns/Croom)

And Capstonegrad, I'm not so much grasping for anything as I am just stating what is going on. This is not the kinda stuff that would be going on under a Stallings type staff. Then, there was class involved. Sometimes we seem to lack that a little these days.

If you ever watched Jeremiah play or have ever met him you wouldn't be complaining about any of the player's talking to him. SC might have been getting a good "talking to" from Dad. It seems to me that player's apologizing for being a kid caught up in the moment is a far better situation than a coach leaving town, sanctions, a coach in a strip club, etc.

ESPN was at fault more than Brown. How is that not a HIPPA violation with a live microphone? Does ESPN get the players to sign a release form stating that in the event they get hurt ESPN will broadcast the conversation pertaining their injury with their trainer over live TV? Better question, if that was TP's injury or Britt's would they show that?? Where is the line and how does ESPN decide what to show and what not to show? As a former Trainer, Brown responded the same way that most athletes do when they get hurt. My view was not that Brown was mad at the Trainer but mad that he got hit after missing playing time before with an injury. Believe me, if I took it personally everytime an injured player showed emotion while in pain I wouldn't have been doing my job. Trainer's block emotions out, no different than a screaming patient after an accident or in the ER. KB worked hard to get back into the game, can't anyone appreciate that work ethic?

It's a good thing there weren't any microphones close to LeRon McClain. I don't know if he used any profanity, but that guy was fired up the whole game. I wish we had more players like him. He's a leader.
