Cam taking X-Rays

should have been hurt a week earlier, i for one hope its career ending, flame away if you must.

It would be poetic justice. I mean he did get to enjoy money before going pro and I have a feeling that he is not exactly earning his diploma. That said, he won't have a 15 yard head start every play in the pros. After year one he will be neutralized. Vince Young part two.

I actually think he may have broken a rib or two. He got up very slowly after one hit and from then on he was either handing it off or goin down before contact. He got hit one time and was grimacing, not smiling.

Just can't wait for this to be taken away and watch him fail at the next level.

I wouldn't count on it. Kid's a great quarterback. Much better prepared than Tebow to play at the next level. I'm with you as for the taken away.

He is a great athlete. Horrible quarterback. Watch him on any pass play you choose, he has no reads, only one route or run. He's not at all prepared for the nfl, doesn't have a clue about blitz pickup, doesn't put any air under deeper throws, doesn't know what a check down is because he's never done one, and had the best oline in college football this year to give him all the time in the world to run a play-action, fake like he's gonna run, pump fake and then throw to the double move he's been staring down the entire play. The only thing I've seen him decent at is medium routes.

He's a sad excuse for a qb and is exactly like vince young and we've all seen how good he is.

lol sour grapes, much??

every line of your statement is pretty much irrelevant and/or ignorant. please do us all a favor, and do not associate yourself with the University of Alabama. you make us look bad...

He's a great College QB. Everyone said the same thing about VY. He throws a hard ball, he throws a good deep ball, his athletic ability is unmatched by anyone else on the field. Well, we see how that turned out. Cam plays in a high school offense, meaning they run a few plays from a few formations. The success of Malzahan's O depends on tempo and athleticism at the QB position. He can throw, he can run, and he is as dumb as a rock. Under adequate pressure he either gets lucky tossing a duck to an uncovered receiver or he overthrows by a mile. He does not have the mental processing ability to break down an NFL defense in 1.5 seconds, I will bet that he can't even learn the playbook. The LB's are as big and as fast as he is. He won't have a 15 yard headstart when scrambling, and he won't be falling forward often.

BTW this is not sour grapes, I've been saying this about him all year. In fact, I said it about VY and people thought I was crazy. Like Trent Dilfer and Jerry Rice said on the ESPN QB special when asked about Cam. "The NFL game is won or lost from the pocket." They said that they expected better athletes to continue to play the position, but the Brady's and Manning's will continue to be the best. I agree, and in all honesty, whoever drafts Kellen Moore will be getting the next Drew Brees.

Time will tell. I could make a half hour highlight video of NFL quality throws and reads from his games this year(don't ask, not going to happen). He could turn out to be Vince Young, but I'm more inclined right now that he's going to be more like Steve Young. Now excuse me while I go wash my hands for defending him.:)

I know it seems that way, but remember that the offense he is in is spreading out the secondary. The DB's are often subpar, as only a handful go pro. The result is that he has had a much larger window to throw the ball into than he will in the pros. Now add in the complexity of the offense he'll have to learn, and the complexity of the coverages that will be thrown at him. That one throw in the GA game to his TE between two defenders was a great play. He has made many great plays and was the most dominant play this year bar none. But just like those from Hawaii and Texas Tech, he is a system QB and the patriots or colts are running the closest thing to a spread at the NFL level.

No its not sour grapes and its not ignorant. If you will just watch him instead of the play you'll see what i'm talking about. The offense he's in is perfect for him. Its a bunch of bubble screens mixed with a power running game. Off that they have some deep passes with combo routes designed for one particular receiver to get open. All he has to do is wait for that guy to run his route and throw it to him. He knows exactly who he's going to throw to before the play begins and if the guy is covered he just overthrows him. That's all fine and well in college but the pros will destroy you if you try it there. You have to learn reads and know where your check down is. He's never done anything of the sort because everything in college has been incredibly simplistic. He has a good enough and strong enough arm to run this offense in college but that's a very tiny part of what a pro qb has to do.

Plus, just like young, he'll learn he can't just use his athletcism because he'll get too hurt or they'll figure him out. To succeed at the next level he has to learn how to throw from the pocket and he's not even close to where he needs to be now.

As much as the violence of the sport almost guarantees injuries in some form or fashion, I wouldn't truly wish them on anyone (except the dirtiest player, in-kind.)
But...karma has many ways to extract its due, and Fig went over his karma-card limit when he said "I didn't know." Though he's had countless opportunities to pay down his karma debt by rescinding his lie and admitting the truth, he has refused, so now it's karma's turn, and this is just the beginning; it's going to be fun to watch.

Actually he's right..Auburn's offense is dumbed down as any offense in the Nation..That's why I think it's so effective..Simplicity..It's an offense that will have a QB less ready for the NFL than any other offense(besides the wishbone)....
