Sounds like Mack Brown is staying at Texas for another year, and Jimmy Sexton knows it. He is getting all his clients big raises while all these schools are still worried about the longhorns.

Lol. My jaw dropped after learning USC hired Sark. After that happened, I wouldn't count out that possibility.
My brother, a Baylor alum, has a birthday today. He is in Waco with family anticipating this game with fervor and fear.
If they beat UT he will have the best birthday ever...living in Austin he has to put up with the most arrogant fans in the world...(for no apparent reason). Anyway. CNS is at UA until the millenium ends and I couldn't care less about UT.
Apparently my "tongue in cheek" post was not taken in the manner it was intended......it was in response to the "rumor" and "teaser" "all in one post" post earlier in this thread -- and I was doing it on my tablet and didn't make it blue ---
I even got an eye-roll from Staci --

Hmmm...my thinking is people in Hades would sure like some ice water, too...just saying. There are some things here of which one does not post, and you found out one of the few (maybe the only one?) that won't get you banned. I'd call it lesson learned and just stay away for a week if it was me...that avatar makes me puke in my mouth a little each time I see it.
Something A&M fans have known for a long time. Born on 3rd base and think they hit a triple. Born and raised a Tide fan but went to school at A&M I have a unique perspective. I know what an elite football program is, Bama is, cow is not. They like to say OU is their only rival (unless they are beating A&M the the Aggies are a rival) but they are not even close to their main rival in terms of NCs, trophies, and historical significance.
Cow fans fancy themselves in the same company as Bama, Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, Ohio State, etc. True historically they have more wins and trophies than A&M, though the series is about 50/50 since A&M became a full fledged Univ. and not an all male compulsory military college.
Their arrogance and hubris has killed the little 12 conference, they even strong-armed the little 12 into making everyone agree that THEY get to host a Thanksgiving night game every year, never away, since they chickened out on the A&M series. A&M and the SEC, straight from Slive's mouth, said we would work our SEC schedule around us still playing cow every year on Thanksgiving. But they were so angered and insulted by A&M leaving for the SEC they wanted to take their ball and go home.
A&M had tried to start negotiations with them, an had the support of Tx tech and the Okie schools, regarding a Big 12 Network for the benefit of all, but they only care about cow and would not back off the LHN, which was/is a huge mistake and an albatross for ESPN.
The ULTIMATE hubris, revealing themselves as the pariah they are, the arrogance to think they could hire CNS away from Bama, at the height of Bama and CNS prominence, is insulting. The arguments of $$ and Austin being better than a backwater town like Tuscaloosa (their thinking) just shows how that fan-base thinks.
BTW I don't think here has ever been any legitimacy or .0001% chance of these news stories and Internet chatter, but it has been GREAT comedy living in Texas to watch it unfold.
Maybe they'll hire Lane Kiffin or Bobby Petrino!
