**Fall Practice Thread**

They have Cyrus Jones listed as Jeoffrey Pagan and Brent Calloway listed as Ben Howell, lol. Nice pics though.

I was surprised at Tyler Hayes' size. He's lean and mean.

Nick Perry and Jarrick Williams continue to come along - how will they contribute this year?

Kevin Norwood looks like he has gotten a lot more muscular based on his latest interview. He was also really well spoken. I'm excited to see him, and the rest of the WR for that matter, get playing lots of playing time this year.

-- Lacy. Is he really healthy? As I have posted several times, if turf toe results in surgery, it's bad, bad news. The name of the injury doesn't begin to describe its gravity. "Turf toe." Sound kind of like hangnail.

Great comments. Yes Earle and others have helped educate many of us on the severity and range of the injury, that having surgery is at the extreme end. It's not just a sore toe the entire joint. Recent reports have many of us sharing your pessimism, and that this could even be college career ending.

I sincerely hope I'm overly pessimistic. But my position today is that every CPG over an average of 10 that Lacy gets in the last four games is a bonus. I cannot find anything on the net that would inspire confidence without crimson-colored glasses.

The monster o-line and early reports that Hart seems to be back to normal and Yeldon looking the real deal is comforting. We had a great plan going
and this is the way it would have played out without injury.

2009 Coffee(SR)- Ingram (soph) - Richardson (#1 recruit HS) - Perfect
2010 Ingram (JR)- Richardson(Soph) - Lacy (AA Fresh) - Perfect
2011 Richardson(JR) -Lacy (Soph) - Hart/Fowler (#1 recruit HS) - Hart blows knee preseason and is the expected flow changes.

Would have probably been - Along with Sims

2012 Lacy(JR) - Hart/Fowler (Soph) - Yeldon (#1 Recruit HS) - LACY injury, Hart coming off ACL.MCL, Yeldon is a true Freshman
Revised?

2012? Fowler - Yeldon (#1 HS RB), Hart (#1 HS RB), Lacy Who knows other that the two projected starters from 18 months ago had major injuries.

-- Backup QB. AJ is proven. And we have the best Alabama OL since the late '70s. Maybe the best ever. Certainly one of the strongest college lines for 2012. But all it takes is one play, and that might not even require contact. If AJ goes down, we go from a BSCNCG contender to a team that struggles against quality opposition. If he goes down while the Arkansas game is still in doubt or earlier, it pretty well cooks our NC hopes.

I strongly believe the west will be weaker in the middle this year, that is Arkansas and Auburn will not be well oiled machines. If we beat LSU, even with a loss or maybe 2, we can make it to Atlanta and win an SEC Championship without being a NC contender. This is actually my prediction and goals for the team, a SEC Championship. We play LSU well on the road as we all know and they will be wearing yellow.

PK inside 40 is sound.

I made a comment before the NCG that Foster would not kick another FG, and I was right. He did go in on a fake. The experiment failed, a long range kicker is doomed if he has a slump because a few easy kicks is the remedy. We have 1 FG specialist and if we are outside his range, we pooch punt. But Shelley looks like he has normal collegian range and that he can hit from at least 40 yards with good percentages.

Did Coffee leave after his Jr year? I know he was not on the 2009 Bama roster (49ers). It was Ingram, Trent and Upchurch at RB's in 2009.

yes, it was a big shock for most of us since he wasnt a projected 1st rounder. he went in the third i think to the 49ers played for a season before retiring.

he had been on campus 4 years though due to injury. one more year and who know how much higher if any he'd have been drafted and how that would have effected MI's Heismann run.

Oh boy, Kevin Norwood has definitely put in the work this offseason - check out picture #30..

I haven't been this anxious since last year. Lol I'm ready for this and I'm also intrigued. Can this be the best team Saban has ever fielded?

I think last year's team was CNS' best by a wide margin. But, we'll find out in a couple weeks. I hope it's his most talented ever. I think he'll have his best OL and best QB he has had (yes, I didn't rate JR highly).

Is Aire Kujo now wearing #77? In the photos it had his name tagged.

Yes, he wears 77.

There are a couple of obvious errors in there. Gulledge was mis-labled in one and I saw a couple of other errors flipping quickly through them.

Christion Jones and Norwood have gotten bigger. Alec Morris looks pretty impressive, too. Geno Smith looks to be in good shape. If he can get the system, I wouldn't be surprised to see Eddie Williams get some significant playing time.

I have read a couple of good articles on Alec Morris this summer and I was just wondering if someone has seen him practice and is he doing as well as some have thought he would?
