Many of the restaurants mentioned so far are fairly traditional, and if that's what you want, go for it. If super-traditional is what you're looking for, also add Anthony's to your list. Very southern in style and hospitality. 1980s in terms of high-style food. I highly recommend Floataway cafe near Emory University. Very modern, yet still romantic, and excellent food. Also consider Watershed in Decatur. Food is award-winning, yet atmosphere is not intimidating and is more casual (maybe too casual for the event). South City Kitchen on the west side of Midtown is also award winning, but a little loud. The Inn at Vinings, while a little boring on the food side, may work well for romance. I would avoid Bone's (while excellent). It's more of a men's club. Sundial is interesting because of the rotating floor, but it's very "touristy". I vote Floataway.
