I've read since that pix exist of 16 trucks lined up at Fordo before the attack. Maybe you can transport uranium gas in the centrifuge. That's beyond my knowledge. However, my gut feeling is that bad things happen if a centrifuge's operation is interrupted...
ABC had a nuclear expert on right after the attack and point blank asked “does this destroy Iran’s nuclear program”. He said “No, it just makes it more inevitable”. He made the case that at this point the Iranians most definitely have been putting them in small containers the size of scuba tanks and have been transporting them away from these facilities. They have enriched uranium and the experience. Destroying the facilities slows them down but unless Israel and the US want to track down every container and bomb a facility every time they pop up then all the Americans accomplished was delaying them a few years and giving them good reasoning to why they should have a nuclear weapon.

Basically he said the only way to prevent them from a weapon was diplomacy and strict international regulations, but Trump abandoning the Obama nuclear deal instead of expanding it forced the IR to go back to their original plans.

That’s my annoyance in it. That and the constant subtle jabs like “you are anti America” “You don’t support our troops enough” and “He is the most criticized president in history” nonsense that they attach to remarks.
W's administration did the same thing regarding pretty much everything they did in the wake of 9/11...which is why we drop "Why do you hate America?" here every now and then.

That makes sense. They would have had plenty of time to download into bottles. If a genuine international accord doesn't come out of this, then I anticipate we'll be playing whack-a-mole for years. All we've done is give them the high ground to say "See why we need it?" And there will be a lot of takers for that line in the ME...

Well like I’ve said. I don’t particularly brag about my service nor do I question someone’s right to not stand for the flag or something usually associated with ‘patriotism’. But I’ve been straight up told “you hate America” by a Trump supporter because I said I was voting for Doug Jones and Biden in 2020”…. “Yeah I hate America soooo much that I wore the flag in my OCPs while I was in Kandahar and Bagram while you were loving America in podunk Alabama”

I think in the short run this could be a win for the US and Israel but in the long run it could be a disaster. I truly believe the Iranian people were ready to get rid of the Islamic regime but now it’s got justification for its foreign practices.

So both countries (Israel and Iran) both tell each other to evacuate their capitals. Then minutes later Trump announces a ceasefire.

"I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, 'THE 12 DAY WAR,'" Trump wrote

No it isn't.

He just made one of his "let me blow my trumpet and tell you what I demanded" announcements. We don't even know that any agreement between these two was actually reached - all we know is that he CLAIMS it was reached.

This is his schtick.

The lasting effects are more troubling. We have lost all credibility in the ME in terms of diplomacy because we have once again let Israel guide our foreign policy. We have now united the Iranian people against the west again when the regime was about to fall.

So again… we probably achieved a short term success but lost a long term issue. Will it be worth it??? Who knows but only a fool believes we destroyed irans nuclear ambitions and prevented them from making one. We probably just ensured that they will have one.

I did not like that.

I was on active duty at the time, and I was highly suspicious we had another Texas politician finagling us into an Asian war without context. Plus, I was on extended leave between December 21 (2002) and the end of February as the saber rattling that got us into Iraq was ongoing, and I was VERY apprehensive about the way they were selling that war to the public. It reminded me (in some ways) of how Trump's defenders function like a bottom of the barrel defense attorney whose multiple choice "he was here, no he was here, wherever he was without alibi, it wasn't where the crime occurred" just create a reason for someone to get on board. Hussein was bad, Hussein had killed people, Hussein tried to kill my daddy, what if Saddam did a 9/11 attack, come to think of it he was involved, and if you don't like those reasons, he's got weapons of mass destruction.

My favorite changing it to a "Why do you hate 'murica so much" with full redneck accent.

Pentagon reveals how B-2 bombers struck Iran nuclear sites in mission dubbed "Operation Midnight Hammer"
You know, I get it. Brag on the men and women that planned it and executed it. But that is something I wish our country would stop doing. It rubs it in Iran’s face a little, plus it gives away trade secrets. I Know those trade secrets could be discovered over time, but make it hard, not easy. When I was in the USN, disclosing a port a ship would be going was a courtmarshalable offense. Ship movements and all. Now, we give details of operations. Heck , today’s Naval ships have internet to talk to their loved ones. Loose Lips Sink Ships!

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister, Islamic Republic of Iran:

As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around.

As of now, there is NO "agreement" on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations. However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.

The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later.
