While I haven't got any confirmed source backing my statement, I believe we will see JM take an official visit to Tuscaloosa this weekend. At this point, I'd guess that LSU fans close to the situation would have readily proclaimed that he wasn't coming if indeed it were a known fact... and there would not be any reason why he wouldn't come out and say it if he wasn't coming. Would take a lot of heat off of him to do so.

It is my understanding that two Bama AC's are at JCCS trying to talk JM into a visit right this minute. My source is only this...I am an alum of JCCS, and have friends that teach there. One of them said that he made a decision, then Bama came to talk him into a visit this weekend. Take that for what it's worth. I don't claim any of it to be fact, just what my friends are telling me. They are there, but who knows if they know the truth.

Fishhead, I generally don't like to post rumors but I heard the same thing. Heard that McKnight called CNS and said he wasn't going to visit and that we sent down a couple of coaches to try and talk him into coming this weekend. I don't know if they were able to convince him of anything though. If I had to guess I'd say he's a lock for LSU now.

I wouldn't count out F$u at this time. Jimbo just may get him to visit. Hopefully I am wrong, but I think we may have gotten to the dance a little too late. Got to give CNS credit though he is not giving up!!!

Roll Tide Roll !!!

certainly, coach Saban has done an excellent job. Considering the amount of time this new staff has had to work, I'd say it says a lot about our future potential that so many of the nation's top prospects showed some interest. I think it may have been a little bit too late to really get in on some of these guys, but I think we have a lot to look forward to. Now, having said that I don't want to set unrealistic expectations and say something like we're going to have the class of the SEC next year, but I do think you'll see a steady improvement in the overall quality of recruits that start flowing into Alabama over the next few years.

That is a certainty. As Bama distances itself from the ncaa problems and regains its winning ways the top recruits will be knocking at our door once again.
It doesn't hurt to have a "name brand" HC and a group of good salesmen for assistants but Bama history and tradition sells itself so long as we are not in trouble and winning.
We may be in for a pleasant surprise on NSD but just getting the big boys to visit and show interest just don't get it.......shades of Tebow!!!

... considering this coaching staff has been on the job for a few weeks and has brought in some of the "big boys" ...

... it certainly "gets it" for me

How did that make you feel? :biggrin2:
