I don't know much about Creer but, even if we don't sign a "Stud" RB, we still have depth at that position. I also don't care what anyone thinks about why we don't have a 4 or 5 star big name recruit.

We have a vast amount of talent coming back next year and some really good recruits signed this year. Please consider the fact that since we (Bama fans) got CNS everyone has been on cloud nine and we all think that CNS can work miracles in three weeks of hard recruiting.

These young men are led by their parents or relatives and really unsure about what is going to happen to Bama football because of the past couple of years and coaches.

Also keep in mind that recruiters are saleman for their University and right now they are all saying, "CNS is new and he'll leave like he always does or Bama doesn't have any future or whatever to recruit them but, not for long.

i figured as much so not surprised at all. hope we can land creer and be more quiet about things. i agree that its a good thing that we got a lot of attn just bc saban is here. but this is getting out of hand and making us look like fools everytime a 4-5 player visits and goes somewhere else. i know they're just making the best decision for themselves, but as far as the rest of the nation is concerned, we cant impress any1 or keep em. makes it look like too many are jumping ship.
Speaking of jumping ship!!!
Some of you guys don't seem to have a whole lot of faith. Maybe it's understandable, but aren't some of you the same ones that were on the "Saban's not coming to Bama" bandwagon? ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! ;)

:conf2: :conf2: Speak for yourself, but having some of the best recruits in the country visit, or show an interest in Bama, is in no way "embarrassing" to the majority of us. Actually, it's quite refreshing..........for a change. :)

Any chance McKnight is saying he won't visit to keep the attention off of him. Is it possible he is having a secret visit like Luther Davis tried to do?

I can ignore the comments, but I find his lack of interest in making an official Alabama visit to be disturbing.

As I recall, McKnight and his teammates stayed overnight at Bama and had a practice on campus on the way to play Hoover this season.

First, am I just plain wrong in remembering that?

Second, is there any possibility that McKnight is still interested in Bama but feels that he doesn't need an official visit because he has already been here?

And yes, I am grasping at straws, thank you.

Actually, I think that is a real possibility.

there was no bandwagon. no1 knew for certain that saban was coming until the plane went and picked him up. even mal moore said he didnt know if we had got him until the next morning when he arrived at his house. if you say that you KNEW saban was coming, then ur a fool. u guessed and hoped like we all did. even a broken clock is right twice a day. but it turned out for the best and we now have him. and i guess i will speak for myelf and stand my ground if i have to stand on it alone. having players come and go right back out like the doors at alabama are revolving is embarrasing. we already have enough negativity in the press. first its bashing saban's integrity and ours for hiring him. then its the recruiting battle that thinks its immoral for us to be talking to other school's commits (even though they're talking to ours). now the press we're getting is that its too late for bama this year, too little too late for this and that guy. guys coming to visit and then heading off in the distance to join another squad. making it look like something else is wrong with the program. saban's arrogance has been suggested as a problem. i dont see anything wrong with it personally but its not what alabama fans or i think. it really does matter whats out there in the press. another thing is the facilities, 3 prospects have now said other schools had much better. yes i know the press spins but its still fact that the stories are out there. these are the stories that the rest of the guys that are uncommited are seeing and hearing. when 4-5 star recruits come in and then turn the other cheek, it send signals that somethings off and effects next years recruits as well. im not saying lets just take what we can get. im saying lets shut up and keep things under the table and quiet. there's no doubt in my mind that if we would just keep ourselves out of the limelight, none of this pressure between au, al, and lsu would be as bad as it is. therefore commits wouldnt feel uncomfortable with giving alabamaa shot before they even set foot on campus. we wouldnt have problems with getting guys to just visit if we could convince them we can keep it out of the press and they wouldnt recieve the backlash like luther davis has recieved. im out for the protection of the image right now. the championships that we are gonna win and the restoration of the program is great to talk about but not right now. the 1st season hasnt started yet

Lord... we thank you for this day.

We thank you for the carriage return, capitalization and the other great instruments of grammatical and paragraphical structure.

Please bestoy in great quantity these blessings on others.

Amen

This guy has been a long shot from day one. I have said all along if he gave Bama a visit we would be a player. However,it looks doubtfull we will, with only something just short of a Devine intervention that we will. That said cudos to CNS and staff b/c prior to the change in staff we didn't even get a look!
