LSU Predictions.........

Sure did

Oh well shows how much I care about the two Alabama teams. Unless they are in a bowl.

Yards per game:
Alabama: 379.4, 158 first downs, time of possession 32:29
LSU: 401, 148 first downs, time of possession 30:43

Passing
Alabama: 220 yards, 7.88 per attempt, 78 first downs, 14 touchdowns, 4 INT, 21 sacks
LSU: 241.9, 8.67 per attempt, 80 first downs, 14 touchdowns, 5 INT, 15 sacks

Rushing Yards per game:
159.4, 4.1 per attempt, 80 first downs, 10 touchdowns
159.1, 4.2 per attempt, 68 first downs, 14 touchdowns

Points per game:
Alabama: 24.3
LSU: 31.8

Alabama's running game is about as similar to LSU's as anyone else you could name, but probably a bit more consistent at chewing clock.

LSU has a slight edge in passing, with better pass protection and a tendency toward the big play, with 40+ yard passes in 5 of 8 games, and 30+ yard runs in 4 of 8 games.

Alabama has 40+ yard passes in 7 of 9 games, and 30+ yard runs in 4 of 8 games.

Alabama has given up a 40+ yard pass once, against Florida.
Alabama has given up 30+ yard runs to Florida and Arkansas.

On the whole, the offenses are pretty equal, with the exception of Alabama's recent failure to convert offensive production into points, which so far has been made up for on defense, who have denied opponents touchdowns on 16 consecutive red zone appearances. If you're LSU, I hope you do believe Alabama can't score on you, because that type of thinking is what will get you smoked.

Alabama's statistics offensively do not tell the story. Period. It is an inconsistent offense, but it is better than a lot of people seem to think.

And as for LSU's defense. Sorry, but it is probably the 4th or 5th best in the conference. It has been unimpressive all year, getting burned on the ground and in the air vs. the decent offenses they have faced.

vs. Arizona State: Sam Keller: 35-56 461 yards 4 TDs

vs. Tennessee: Rick Clausen 21-32 196 1 TD

LSU Offense: 256 yards; Jamarcus Russell 14-28 158 yards 1 IN

ONE TD drive of over 70 yards, and that was due to a 50 yard catch.

vs. Florida: Deshaun Wynn comes up 4 yards shy of 100 vs. LSU's overrated run D.

vs. Auburn: Kenny Irons runs for 218 yards on 27 carries, exposing LSU's run defense. Auburn gains 451 yards on the road, at LSU, and due to FIVE missed FG's loses the game.

Jamarcus Russell completes under 50% of his passes, to go along with the 2 INTs in the game against FL, and 158 yards passing and INT vs. Tenn...Hmmmm...the three good D's LSU has faced and he has struggled.....coincidence?

vs. Appalachian State: Oh yes, this is the best one. LSU's overrated Defensive Line and LB's are once again exposed as Appalachian State runs for 176 yards on 36 attempts, averaging 5 yards a pop. LSU cannot score but 14 pts. on Appalachian State through 3 qtrs. and FINALLY at 13:00 to go in the game LSU puts away Appalachian State with a TD pass.

LSU's offense and run defense will be exposed on Saturday as the fraud that they are. 451 yards vs. Auburn? 550+ vs. Arizona State? 100 yards rushing from Deshawn Wynn? 170 yards rushing from Appalachian State?

256 yards total offense vs. Tenn? Oh, well, uh, Alabama had 257 yards against UT's D.

If our offense is that bad, then how good is LSU's?? HA...overrated and poorly utilized talent.

Alabama 27 LSU 3

I dont make predictions for the games...but my sister told me she had a dream where we won 22-9 :)

2 tds, 2 fgs and a SAFETY!!! to 3 fgs according to her dream

I have been reading this board for a few years(very seldom posting) just for the simple pleasure of reading thoughts of fellow BAMA Fans. I know the team has been through a tough time as of late. As someone of 38 years of age and faithful fan since the age of 8, it has been almost unbearable the last few years. It has always been good to know that I could come on this board and and read topics that would keep my hopes of the TIDE rising again. This year has got to be one of the most enjoyable I have ever witnessed. I never thought we would have the record that we enjoy now. I took for granted 9 win seasons before now, due to the fact that the program has never endured in my lifetime, what it has just emerged from. I thank everyone on this board for carrying my hopes through the lean times, and admire the true die hard fans on the board, that from what I have seen always believed that the program would rise again. With that said, I believe that if BAMA can get that offense working on the downhill side of th 50 again, it will be

BAMA 34
LSU 10

ROLL TIDE ROLL

10-6 bama. darby and the gang will pound out the yardage. brodie will be efficient. defense will be stellar. giving up 2 field goals in the first half. i think that we will get to Russell early and he won't be the same...hopefully they won't do that to BC first.
