Michigan Under Investigation For Sign Stealing

The punishment doesnt fit the crime but is in line with how these things go....they are the media darling it seems ( the B10 overall)...that is until they get their usual beat down in the CFP...then the insanity is repeated the next year with all the same B10 teams being in the top 10....rinse repeat...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I really wish once you started a court case, all records become part of the public record immediately after you drop the case. These waste of everyone's time and money, "I'm suing you, oh wait, no I'm not" cases would really start to dry up quickly.

Big Ten ends investigation to avoid a lawsuit?!? Sounds like when awbern lawyered up in the $cam issue...
No. Michigan dropped the lawsuit after discovering new evidence .. that's why Chris Partridge got fired today. Had they proceed with the lawsuit, it would get ugly fast for Michigan. I expect the Michigan to be looking for a new coach soon.

Then why is the Big not continuing with this investigation? Investigations are NOT completed this quickly.

Maybe I'm wrong on this, but I think just the Big 10 investigation is complete, not the NCAA. I realize that in terms of any punishment this season, it looks like it will just be Harbaugh getting a 3 game ban, but I don't think this is over. It is funny though that Harbaugh will have been banned from coaching 6 of Michigan's 12 regular season games this year for two different violations.
