Politics: Midterm elections catch-all thread...

Re: 2018 midterm elections catch-all thread

A bit early to be trolling.

LOL. I'm sure Fox New is telling him it isn't a blue wave if we don't pick up the House AND the Senate. Truth is the House is in play and the Senate we just need to pick up a couple of seats and it is ballgame in 2020 when a ton of GOP senators are up for re-election.

Message boards have been around since the dawn of the internet. They are quite different than Facebook and Twitter mainly because of the relative small audience each one reaches.

The world isn’t watching TideFans, it does watch FB and the twit.

Actually if you get nominated for a judicial appointment, the world will watch Tidefans

A little early, but it looks like the blue wave never materialized. I feel sorry for America.
Chin up, Gray....the mandate of the people is what's important.

I'm watching Florida's first basketball game of the season right now and we'll doing pretty good, considering how many freshmen we are playing.

We're doing good - you're doing good - keep smiling, my friend!

I see that as well. There is a lot to be concerned about the future!

I looked a few minutes ago and walt Maddox had 49%. Now he has 36%. What precincts dropped.

Re: 2018 midterm elections catch-all thread

I did not vote, don’t like either party, but enjoy watching the horse race. Based on what I’ve seen so far I see political, hand-to-hand combat going on in virtually all of the competitive districts. It is close. I still think the Ds pick up the house but Rs retain control of the senate. This will not be a wave election and thus no mandate for either side.

NBC/MSNBC is projecting 90% probability that the house will go to the Dems!

A lot of people I’ve seen that follow things closely weren’t really expecting the Senate to flip until maybe 2020.

That’s going to happen, 100%. But Pelosi will not have an overwhelming majority to work with. That being said, she will control the gavels.

Re: 2018 midterm elections catch-all thread

I have to admit, it is rather fun watching all the Democratic angst over the yet-to-materialize blue wave.

For those of us with actual sanity, this is probably the best result with the Dems likely to slightly take over the House and the Reps to have a hold on the Senate; hopefully, the two-headed party-of-one will predominantly snap back and forth at each other's heads, mitigating the damage they can further.
