I don't think and hope that we don't just start hiring "warm bodies". I think this could go possibly a month or more and wouldn't rule anyone out 3 days after the vacancy became available. It's a long process.

They could be waiting until the NIT is over to announce Howland if he is the one. It might be disrespectful to the interim coach to hire someone else while he is still coaching.

You would think not but history has shown especially in basketball that the powers to be have not made the best of decisions on past hires since Wimp left.

Bobby Hurley is a name I have not heard mentioned as a possible candidate at Bama. Good pedigree with dad at St. Anthony's and playing for Coach K. The downside is not having much head coaching experience.
