Firstly, I don't believe in "moral victories", you play to win and a loss is a loss. However, there are instances in which you go out there and fight and struggle and don't manage to prevail. These are the instances in which you need to learn from your mistakes and strive to do better.

All of us knew that LSU was going to put more talent on the field. 17 of the guys starting were recruited by Saban and we know how good a recruiter he is. So, one could hardly say that the talent level on the field was equal.

After the suspensions, I felt like Alabama's running game was going to be almost non-existent. You can't lose two blockers and your power runner against a team like LSU and expect things to go well (then again I thought it would really hurt Alabama against UT, but UT ain't LSU).

Alabama looked overwhelmed at many times during the game. The running game struggled, the defense was vulnerable, the one dimensional offense was inept sometimes but the team kept fighting and the coaches kept trying to find ways of keeping Alabama in the game. There were good breaks and bad breaks with some questionable officiating with good measure. The end result was a good, hard fought game.

I don't really want to hear any complaining or finger pointing directed towards the team. Could Alabama have done some things better? Sure, they could have. However they stayed in the game and fought against one of the most talented teams in football. I am proud of the effort and I'm proud of the direction this team is headed.

I'm not happy right now but I have pride in Alabama's football team.

Re: I'm proud of the job the players and coaches did

We scored 20 somethin unanswered points. We came out playing better after half time. We just made some mistakes at the end of the game and it cost us big time. Helluva game though. I hate losing especially games like this but I'm proud of our boys reguardless of the outcome.

Now if yall will excuse me I have a half gallon of Southern Comfort to get started on...

What esle can you say? Our guys played their heart out, and nearly came up with the win.

With the way things were looking in the second quarter, I was going to be happy with just hanging with them. We did hang with them to the very end.

I'm dissapointed...but, encouraged. I think we can stomp State and LA Monroe into a mudhole next week, and finally shut Auburn's mouth the last game. These guys have oone more big win in them this season.

LSU should be glad they won. Their days of beating us are numbered.

JPW just blew it at the end....he needs to learn to pull the ball in when he looks as if he is going to be sacked.

That said, we played better on Defense than I thought we would, I am afraid the suspensions hurt us more in this game than the ones incurred by LSWho.

On to MSU......beat them and the barners and it will still be a good year.

I never like losing, but... I feel better about the Tide now than I have for several years. I really think we are going to be very good in the NEAR future.
I love this team.
ROLL TIDE! Thanks for a great game.

They had to bring their lunch to beat us. Dang it! Our guys played inspired football and did a good job. We'll get 'em next year. Roll Tide.
