Our 17 year old WR made the comment earlier this week he thought “we are the best team in the country”.
Evidently about 30 or 40 or more of his teammates felt the same and “mailed it in this week”.

The lack of preparation was astounding.

This! I haven’t seen a Bama team this unprepared since loss to Utah in the Sugar Bowl!

-Changes on coaching staff in the off season on both side of the ball. Lack of preparation showed up again on consistent basis.

-We will see few players entering portal in next week or so. Some you will not be happy with. Some will be expected.

- This is pure speculation: I do not see Milroe coming back to Alabama next year in any form. If he does come back, we risk losing other qbs.

This is not the end of the world for the team. I think the team needed this season to be humbled and hopefully grow up a lot in the offseason. Not just for the players but for the coaches.

I was very upset with the two early second half INT's, but more ****ed Milroe did not make the tackle on the second one. Looked like he tried to trip him and whiffed

I’m so tired of hearing “well let’s go in at halftime and make some adjustments”, and then we come out and do the same thing. Can’t score. Can’t stop the run.

Even as a Bama fan, I don’t expect to win every game.

But I expect our team to get better as we get more experience.
I expect good offensive and defensive line play.
I expect coaches to make adjustments based on what is happening.
And I expect that we won’t stink up the joint when playing crappy, unranked teams.

On paper, this OL is one of the best in the country. I expect most of them will play on Sundays one day. Why are they so bad as a unit?

They did, and we were on that probation deal, so they did it with nothing to play for. We had everything to play for today.

We never got blown out under Shula. Those walk ons and 3 stars played their hearts out.

You know, a man much wiser than myself (Nick Saban) once said, “you don’t always get what you want, but you usually get what you deserve.” As usual, he was right. We’re gonna lose this one fellas. This team has earned this loss; the coaches, players, hell, even the ball boys, have earned this embarrassing loss.

There will be no SEC championship game. The playoffs are now a hypothetical “what if?” If there’s an upside here, it’s that we have one regular season game left and hopefully the good guys will be embarrassed enough to find their motivation again for next week. Time to show your pride boys.

No way DeBoer is fired after this season. Not happening, not even sure his seat could warm up.

However, I think there should be immense pressure to re-evaluate his staff and approach some. This teams needs more discipline and I think it's fair to question the wisdom of hiring coordinators just who just happened to be coaching with him at Indiana.

Edit: In all fairness to him, he had to get this staff together on short notice and his original OC is currently running the 10th best NFL offense. So, let's hope he is preparing to address this issue of his own volition.

problem is so many will probalby transfer to greener pastures so not many left to "learn lessons"

excellent post! DeBoer has 2 coordinators that are totally out of their depth. Will he address it and are we looking at the same guys next year?

IMO, Wommack isn't the issue. he needs to make some adjustments with some of the scheme in the off season. I'm sure he'll get with Saban, CKD, and others and figure it out.

NS- The thing is, the coach that left for Seattle in NFL, He's not doing great there. I gotta think CKD might try and get Ryan Grubb to come this time. NS isn't ready.

This is unfortunately a problem with the majority of coaches and programs. We were spoiled with coach Saban and his ability to keep the team focused every week. I think guys like DeBoer and Kiffin are the actually the norm.

The only way I can make this season make sense, specifically this game and the Tennessee game, Ty Simpson must suck. That’s the only explanation I’ll accept for not giving him a shot.

What makes me sad is it seems like to me from the outside that the culture that Saban spent 16 years building up is gone in one season. I know the last couple seasons we have seen cracks in it but the dam burst tonight. KDB will not be the solution. A entire House cleaning needs to happen.

I’m trying to not overreact, but there is something absolutely wrong in Tuscaloosa. everything was there for the taking. And the team didn’t care. I know that Coach Saban always said no one feels worse than the players. I don’t believe that, or they would have put in the effort on Tuesday and Wednesday . I‘ve been a fan for twice as many years as most of these guys have been alive, I have a lot more invested in this. Money, Time, Social sacrifices. Family sacrifices.

If they played well , but OU played out of their minds , or a few breaks went against us, they would be ok. But they didn’t even compete. That’s the frustrating part. You can’t always win, but damn, Put up a fight at least.

That High School offense we run looks nothing like I saw at Washington last year, was Ryan Grubb really the mastermind to the whole thing?

we need an upgrade on the DC and OC side....the lack of adjustment was just staggering...they ran the ball...over and over...we didnt even try to take that away. thats DC 101
