Bama Game Thread: Official Postgame Thread - Bama vs. Michigan...

A close friend had a son that played OL at UK under Wofford. They were all pumped up when he came to UK from USCe. Turned out he was all hat and no cattle. Average at best and had excuses for everything. Found out later they didn’t “steal him” from USCe. They were about to move him to an off field position or turn him loose completely.

I had high hopes for him. But the past two years have been underwhelming.
Has he become the Pete Golding of coaches?

The ball didn't hit the ground. I guess it was more than "a little low" but was still directly in front of Milroe and was not a big enough distraction to blow the play up like many are indicating.

It was a bad play call period. A DESIGNED run, from 5 yards out, with the game on the line…whether it be left or right, or God forbid right up the dang middle.. 🤬

Really? Because kids want to make money the way it’s intended…clown…
I mean...it is cheesey in hindsight. It was fun for a few weeks but pointless after this loss. Perhaps it can roll into next year. Love the capitalism tho.

and this is why this year could be my last year of watching college football.
Im kinda like you and @CajunCrimson . A game like this would have killed me for days afterwards. Tonight, I was over it in about 30 minutes. It is the realization, I guess, that my love of the University and team that represents it is different from that of the players now days. That was what was special about the college game - the uniqueness of that bond. In a loss such as this, you hurt almost as much as the players. By the time they have showered and hit the bus for the airport, they have moved on to thinking about NIL, NFL or leveraging the transfer portal.

Hey…not saying it’s wrong. But my “give a damn” is close to being busted.

The last play call was absolutely atrocious, especially considering the OL play in the middle all night. Sure, put the ball in Milroe's hands and roll him out, give it a shot somewhere. He just ran into a mass of bodies......the real concern was Latham getting obliterated and Milroe almost breaking both their legs in the collision.

Poor play call.
Poor snap.
Poor decision making all around.
Poor execution all around.

Should have never been in that situation.

And now I'm reading quotes from Turner......yeah, he's leaving for the NFL obviously, but he sounds like he's upset that he wasn't rushing the QB more and was just doing what he was told. Poor attitude after a loss kid.

Yeah that confused me too... Dude came out of nowhere and slayed the defense and then we just stopped using him. Did he get hurt? I've always heard to stick with the hot hand so really can't fathom while we decided to fold from the hot hand...
Reminds me of Derrick Henry in the Sugar Bowl against OK....

It was right after a gut wrenching loss….ill let the kid slide with a very mild statement. Also he’s not wrong

Frankly, that's being outcoached. Along with better discipline. Herbie mentioned that UM was showing new looks and doing things they had not done in the regular season.

It's ok to admit that Michigan was just a step better tonight. It happens.

Except the way Alabama adjusted and took control of the game, up 20-13, only to inexplicably stop playing defense and start calling stupid plays on offense…

Sooo I'm confused ... wasn't it an earlier post that said the last play was supposed to be a pass play ... now folks are saying it was supposed to be a run? With all this confusion I can see why it didn't work lol

With the low snap and Milroe doing what he does.....I can see how it might have been a pass play called.
Hopefully we find a Center for next season that has some consistency.
