Forgot to hit record before I headed out for a dinner/function last night. Based on the reports, it wouldn't have been worth watching.
Sounds like Vandy shot the lights out and perhaps they were motivated by the tornado damage to play for their city. Sounds like we also had one of those nights we didn't show up to play (effort wise). Unfortunately, this has become the norm for this team. They'll play above their head for a few games and then lay an egg against teams they could beat if they play with effort.
Perhaps I'd be "hotter" about this if I had seen the effort, but I'd caution everyone to slow down and realize CNO is still in the process of reshaping this team's psyche and so far when they've responded, that's been the difference. Last year we thought it was because we didn't have talent/scorers, but absent Shackelford, he's taken a team that regularly scored in the 60's last year and now they are the 3rd highest scoring team in the nation.
So, overall, I'd say CNO is right on track to making an impact. Give him a couple of recruiting cycles and another year to affect attitudes and we ought to still be very excited about what will happen in our B-ball program.
