Old School FSU

With FSU on the schedule this week, I got to wondering at what point FSU changed. I remember back in the 80's when they would schedule anybody anywhere, and usually beat them with a wide array of gadget plays and aggressive playcalling. A fake punt against Clemson from deep in their own end. It seems like they were always so exciting to watch. They seem so much more conservative now. I hope they don't start any excitement this week. I'm glad we didn't take them on in 1997 or 2000.

Wow, that brings back memories. That came out when I was in high school. Thats when FSU was great. They went out and got whipped by Miami 31-0 right after that, first game of the season. Ran the table the rest of the way. Wins over Mich State, Clemson, South Carolina, Florida, and beat Auburn in the sugar. That was a greta season for them.

Reminds of the Super Bowl shuffle, which I also thought was just dumb. Here's to hoping our beloved Tide never puts out a rap video.

Tallynole, many would disagree whether you won the 1993 championship or whether that was the "Bobby Bowden Lifetime Achievement Award". Hey, if everybody can question Alabama's national championships, turnabout is fair play.
