Post season thread...

I said it earlier in the week. We are giving the boogs the state on a silver platter. Here we don't want it, you take it.

If you are a good basketball recruit in Alabama next year, where would you sign?

Any updates on 3 Bama recruits coming in next year?

Any other recruiting news? JUCOs?

I need something to look forward to. All this anti-Grant stuff is getting old. I don't think there is one person left on the board that needs convincing he should be out.

Meanwhile, AU just won their second SEC tournament game...... The hits just keep coming.

I wonder if the Barn would have been better this year if it would have put extra heat on the BOD and CBB.

I think almost all of us expect the Barn to be much better in the next couple of years and that will do nothing but turn up the heat on CAG if we continue to struggle.

Uh...Kentucky? Player's don't seem to progress here, but Pearl is the Phil Fulmer of CBB.

I took Donovan's comments as the teacher defending the student. Grant was his prized assistant for years. By saying anything other than what he did, he'd be admitting one of his best assistants failed as a head coach. He said similar things when John Pelfry was at Arkansas.

Their win over TAMU pretty much knocks TAMU out of the tournament and into the NIT, which very well may knock Bama out of e NIT.

Neither one deserves any post season play. In fact only two teams in the SEC deserve any post season bids, UK in the NCAA and Arky in the NIT. But the SEC will have seven or eight teams playing post season ball. The truth is, it's not a testament to conference strength, it's a testament to how low the standards are these days.

The only guy who is "stealing" money more than Grant is the ref who called that 5th foul on Cooper. Just got home and watched the game and that was one of the crooked-est calls I've seen in a while.

Not sure how to respond to this. Is he really that oblivious..

When you watch his lack of participation on the sidelines at games, it's clear that he's not giving basketball any thought. It's like he knows that coach BB is too tight with money to pay the buyout. He's just collecting paychecks now. I heard a group of Kentucky fans that i know and respect say that Alabama had probably the 2nd best talent in the league this year, without the injuries. We just needed someone to teach them how to play basketball at this level.

I missed the game today due to my grandmother's funeral so I won't comment on the game. As for the season, I am disappointed again and I think a change is in order. As for what Donovan says, of course he wants Grant to be retained, I am sure every coach in the SEC wants him retained as they did Shula.

I have mixed feelings on the NIT. One part of me wants the team to go in order to get more game time for next years returning players. The flip side is not to go to the NIT bc we are injured and having to watch our poor offense hold the ball for a bad shot.

I'd rather not play in the NIT. I just don't enjoy watching this team play, which hurts to say.. I would love to have seen what Levi could do if we had a better offensive coach.

Very sorry to hear of your loss...

Of course Donovan supported him. No coach is going to say "They need to fire that dude".
