Literally provided a well thought out and an insightful opinion of what someone in a leadership position should do and this is the response. Been there and done that and have had success and learned from the many mistakes. Ok dude...

I'm nobody just like you. I'm a guy on a chat board, just like you. Discussing Alabama football and its coaches, just like you. Don't like my take, fine. But I don't do passive aggressive keyboard chatter. You want to make a point like BamaBuzzard has with a well thought out response, I welcome it.

The job is bigger than just coaching! Are you that naïve to think you can just come to TTown and roll the ball out and coach football. It is literally is the highest most decorated position in the entire state. More people know who the coach is than the Governor. Talk about missing the point...geeze!
 
FTR, I'm so glad we didn't try to hire a CNS clone/disciple. First, because there isn't one. Second, that seldom ever works when you try to hire a long and successful leader with someone "like" him.

CKD might not work out in the long run (only time will tell) but it won't be cause he's got a different style or says nothing at PCs.

He's only 49 years old, so maybe he'll develop those traits as he settles into the job. But right now I think he needs to focus on what he already does best and once the ship is stable and full of his people, then he can begin to fine tune his off-the-field blind spots.

Bryne didn't hire him for his press conference abilities and I personally couldn't care less that they are vanilla. Why give your next opponent anything?

Something like that. Rasputin would be the name the OG's would know me as...

Took a ten year or so hiatus and stayed busy with my professional career and off any forums. Glad to see some of my good board friends still around and active after all these years!
