Questions about Milroe.

the only reason the short game worked against UGA was they were backing off just a bit to far to basically dare him to throw in that range. Once they tightened up just a bit so the window was not quite as wide open, the success stopped pretty quick
And that's what happened since.

And TBH they know he's very inaccurate with his short passes and that is the reason for the increased INTs.

Now, you'd think we'd be trying more 1st down long balls, but that has virtually disappeared.

I’m sorry you just don’t accidentally put up 500 something yards on Georgia’s defense. It’s not like it was a one game thing either because he played great at Wisconsin the week before as well, let’s not act like there hasn’t been regression in his game.

He has resorted back to his bad habits and he’s not confident in anything he’s doing out there on the field.

UGA played him in a way that worked for Bama early.....once they adjusted we scored 13 points....7 of which was a ball thrown up to Williams that he made an unreal play on.

Wisconsin doesn't have the athletes to compete with ours.

This is exactly where I am. I hope we win, if we don't, oh well.

I'm disappointed in the product put out on the field wearing the jerseys of the team I've loved my entire life. Its not upsetting me that we are losing in a transition year really....its disappointing to see how the program is representing itself with what is being displayed on the field.

I'm to the point now, when Milroe runs out starting vs Missouri I will probably check out.
I'm going to be camping at a Cub Scout event, so I won't be able to watch anyway, but this is where I'm at. I won't watch another snap while this clownshow holds our program hostage.

But NFL teams have millions of fans that care. I'm a Barves fan, those guys are pros as well. I don't need the players to have pom-poms or bleed crimson, that's what I am here to do. All I need them do is buy into the team, play as a unit and leave it all on the field. They don't have to become lifelong Bama fans.

Right now, this is a poorly coached, undisciplined team but, I'm always going to bleed crimson.
I understand I’m in the minority, but I just have never gotten the NFL appeal.

A lot of “if’s“ in what Im about to say, and sorry if this point has been made as I’ve not read all of the pages. But, if he is injured and Ty Simpson starts against Mizzou and sets the world on fire Milroe may not get his job back. I know you shouldn’t lose your spot due to injury but it would be obvious what the decision should be against live competition. So, Milroe may not be disclosing how bad he’s injured if that’s actually the case.

I’m just wondering if Jalen is audubling out of good plays and calling his own number or checking into something where he throws the ball. He had plenty of opportunities to run after a 3 second count but continues to hold the ball and a sack or run for his life. I think he thinks he’s Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

I'm close to this point.

I want to see #15 run out to start but I know it's unlikely.

But the next time we are struggling and it's clear that plays are there to be made but Lank isn't making them and #15 is STILL on the sidelines.... then I think I'm done with 2024 Bama.

I have no idea if the next obvious moment will be vs Mizzou or vs LSU but it's coming.

Wisconsin is 5-2 and has allowed 16 points in their last 3 games combined while out scoring their opponents 117-16.
And who have they played? I honestly don't know, but I guarantee you that haven't played an SEC-talent-laden team like Bama since that game.

They got exposed athletically. Almost as bad as 2012 ND team in Miami.

Ok, and?

The whole "you shouldn't lose your starting job due to injury" thing is a myth, right up there with "a win is a win" and "you are what your record says you are".

Fine....then Ty should Wally Pipp him and be done with it.

I really don't know what to make of Milroe anymore. He has moments of playing clutch, and he has moments of making terrible reads/throws/decisions. I think it's why so many on this board are split on him. Neither side is really wrong, he's just inconsistent. I also don't think the play calling has helped him, this year or last.

I think we have the ability to win out the regular season with Milroe and I don't think we have that ability with Simpson. Not because of any lack of talent with Simpson, but because of lack of experience. With that said, I have no faith in winning out with Milroe.

We are 50/50 against Mizzou with Nilroe. We still might lose to LSU with Ty, but it's a guaranteed loss if we don't make a change.

I bet CKD (as Sark is getting) will get asked this week if he's considering a QB change. I hope he gets asked because I at least think it is time to allocate some game reps to Simpson. We're not winning a title and more than likely not making the playoffs. So we at least can start getting him reps.
