Is there any news on Tim Tebow (about his trip)? or Vidal Hazelton?

I haven't heard anything new about Hazelton. Tebow and his family are enjoying their Bama visit from what I have heard. Nothing other than that has came out since his visit.

Tebow and Don!

Ricks had a great visit. He named Bama as his leader. He will visit the barn when they play ole sis.

Did Goggans visit? If so, any word on a possible reversal?

we've been told all along Ricks loves the staff here, but pressure from home and friends, etc want him at the Barn. Now that he has seen the Bama atmosphere, he might be hooked for good.

Re: Goggans

I haven't heard yet. But, beating UcheaT and the likely turmoil that surrounds the loss and the possibility of a "low" bowl and staff changes, things might be looking good with Goggans, Hawthorne, etc.

I think Shula's offense fits Tim Tebow better than the option type QB Urban needs to run his offense. Our team has many good Fellowship of Christian athletes that Tim may want to also play with. I think his parents want what's best for him, and our offense is more suited to him than UF's. A lot may depend on how the rest of the season goes for Urban's Offense. He took an all SEC QB and may have him on the bench in favor of the QB that followed him to UF. I think he was Florida's to loose and with Coach Shula showing he'll throw the ball if he has a QB that can air it out, we stand a great chance of reeling him in. With that said Bama football is best played with a great defense and running game. We need linemen 1st and foremost every year so our skill guys can deliver big time. If we ever get it all put together like I think Coach Shula is doing Look Out!

Andre Smith was on NBC13 tonight after the Mike Shula show. He was asked what he liked about Bama and the barn. He mentioned quite a few things about Bama such as tradition, 12 national championships, etc... You get the idea. ;) He only mentioned one about the barn... DeMarco McNeil. Sounds like there was allot more he liked about Bama. Just hope he is thinking the same thing. He did mention other schools he was looking at such as UCS, Oklahoma, Miami, and I think FSU was one too. He didn't say anything about them. He just listed them. Hopefully we'll get him. How could he not want to be a part of the best OL class in the country and/or elevate it to what would be the best OL class in the country?

re: The L. Crawford Topic

Seems similar to the "T. Zachary deal". Both appear to have been somewhere between 7 to 12 on the WR target list . In other words "secondary targets" .

Article on Smelley, Tebow, and Clausen (link)

Going into Friday's game, Smelley had passed for more than 1,500 yards and 25 touchdowns with one interception. Last season he threw for 3,148 yards and 41 touchdowns with nine interceptions. He has offers from LSU, Tulane, Memphis, Mississippi and Oregon.Smelley said he would be interested in the Gamecocks if they pursued him. He also is hearing from Alabama and will visit Mississippi this weekend.

Junior quarterback Jimmy Clausen (6-3, 190) of Westlake Village, Calif., made an unofficial visit to Tennessee Saturday for the Vols’ game with Georgia. Clausen is also strongly considering USC along with Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Michigan, Tennessee, Michigan State, LSU, Alabama and Oklahoma. He plans to watch a game at USC with some of his teammates later in the season.

Clemson's involvement with quarterback Tim Tebow (6-3, 225) of St. Augustine, Fla., has ended.

"They needed more of a commitment from me towards them," Tebow said. "It was a mutual thing. We'll still talk to their coaches because they are friends."

With Clemson out, Tebow is down to Florida, Miami, Florida State, Southern Cal, Alabama, Michigan, LSU and Iowa.

Are there any announcment dates coming soon for any of the recruits that attended the UT/Bama game?

It seems after the Florida game we had a lot more news in the recruiting room. After this game it seems like a couple of guys saying "yeah i had a great time" and thats about it. Whats going on?

I'm suffering some serious recruiting withdrawals

I could use a fix soon. I guess when you go after big fish, you have to learn patience. Jermarcus Ricks, Peanut Whitehead, Toryan Smith, Ugo Chinasa, AJ Jones, Justin Woodall, Derrick Odom, Marcus Udell, somebody do something so I won't go crazy. (I love defense)

ok, see what I can do....

I really like our chances with Ricks and T. Smith at this point.

Whitehead knows he will visit Ark and Louis for sure, officially. If he decides to stay in-state, he's ours.

Will know more about AJ Jones and Odom after they visit. Tide in good-standing already.

Chinasa, Woodall, and Udell- we might be on the outside looking in, but in contention nonetheless.

Whew, I'd love to get one of those tall, super-athletic DEs. Has Chinasa mentioned when or if he might visit?

I just heard on the radio that Tebow didn't even get back to his room until 11:45pm last night (I think I heard him correctly; correct me if I'm not). Sounds like he might have gotten some good bonding time in with the coaches yesterday.

Anyone know what Tebow said about his visit to T-Town?

Basically said it went great! He got to meet Coach Don Shula. Might make another official to Bama vs LSU! And working somethings out to go to the Florida State vs UF game too! I hope Bama gets this kid!
