Can you imagine the UT and Allbarn teeth gnashing and wailing if Bama signs all those guys in 2006 ? Minus Caldwell of course because Bama already has him fortunately.
 
This may be old news, but Rivals is reporting that Florida has offered Brent Schaeffer, the 5-star recruit gone wrong at Tennessee.

That's Leak (junior), Clinton Portis, Javon Snead and maybe Schaeffer...and maybe Tebow.

I say this is a good thing, because it looks like Florida is hedging its bets.
 
I had heard the rumors about Schaeffer to Florida. Is it a confirmed offer? If so it makes you wonder what Tebow will think about Meyer now with all the text messenging about how bad they need him at UF?

Yeah, there is no way you could turn down any of those guys. Fayson has gone on record as saying he wants to redshirt his first year, though I'm not sure any of the others would want to (and Stover can't, obviously). Gosh, we would be stacked at WR. With Tebow at QB, wow.

That's 23 without the possible academic casualties. Correct me if I missed someone. What do we do if we get all of these? Is there someone I left off that you think should be there instead? CMS is getting it done!

LOL, and don't forget guys like Roy Upchurch and Mike Johnson, who are redshirting right now. I really think Mike Johnson is going to be a hell of a tackle for us.

It will work itself out. FWIW, unless Holifield is ready to come on in January, he isn't going to make it. CMS only likes taking JUCOs who enroll early, from what I've heard. I would almost count him out. And, we will have a player leave this off-season. It happens every year, and it will happen this year. Last year we lost Chris Turner and Will Roach. This year it will be someone else. If we take 26 guys, I don't see us having to assign priority. There will be at least 24 spots available.
 
Greyshirts for this class...

What do you all think of getting Charlie H. to greyshirt? He is coming off an ACL injury and it normally takes a while for those to heal...I believe he would benefit greatly from the extra time to heal and will still be able to have a redshirt season if necessary. Also, this would free up a scholly.

I think we will lose at least 2 players this off season. The names that come to mind both have a first name of Aaron. Also, does the loss of Moon free up an extra scholly?
 
Did Moon leave the team? I had not heard that. But yes, if anyone who is on scholly leaves, that will allow us to bring in someone to fill their place (up to 25 of course).
 
Andre Smith tid bit

Hey all...first of all, this is just bits of info that I heard from someone that talked to Andre's Dad.

Evidently, Andre's father would like him to go out to USC, but he is very close to Mom and she wants him to stay close to home. Nothing was said as to where he would go, but sounded like Bama has a really good shot at the big man.


Bama Fans want Pancakes and Peanuts!!!!
