Word has it, Tebow has set an official to Michigan, I thought Michigan was out of the question..

His officials will probably be:

Bama (done)
Mich
LSU
UF
USC?

I like it b/c he's not taking unofficials to UF on those weekends. We should get another unofficial the LSU game here.

I also like it b/c we got the first.....something you always remember about that one.

I agree rto. Recruits seem to always mention when picking schools that the school they picked had interest in them first from the beginning..ie) bama with Tebow.

Volunteer commits looking at the Crimson Tide
The Tide is winning and recruits are wanting visits. The University of Tennessee Volunteers have a total of six verbal commitments for the class of 2006 with three of the six giving the University of Alabama a second look.

Jacques McClendon, Michael Goggans and Lee Smith have been in Tuscaloosa during the fall season and will have more conversations with the Tide staff before signing day.

A Notre Dame board is claiming that Toryan Smith is supposed to announce today. I'm going to do some "googling".

Last I heard, he was liking all of the attention and was going to drag it out a while and possibly take another visit or two.

They've just removed the thread from the Notre Dame board, saying that he's decided to put off his decision. Somebody there was claiming inside info about Smith. Sorry for the false alarm.

This kid is rated a 3 star on scout but then when you look at who all has offered, Bama, UF, ND, OK., Neb., UGA, and Mich., makes me think he's got to be a 5 star. IMO, I put more into who has offered rather than how many stars.

I see were Toryan is from Rome. Didn't we have a good LB from Rome about 10 years or so ago? I cant remember his name?

... LaBronski Hutchins, a recent verbal commit to Alabama and teammate of Goggans, is recruiting the 6-3, 246 pound star as well.

“LaBron has been telling me I need to join him at Alabama," Goggans said. "He tells me we need to go to the same school together. I hope we do."...
...how would one interpret this?

hmm.... I remember Hutchins mentioning UT, but it was a third to Bama and the Barn.....
... RTO, the tidesports article reads as if Goggans is leaning toward BAMA, but the bamamag article reads that Hutchins wants Goggans at BAMA and Goggans wants Hutchins at TENN - the paragraph ends with Goggans saying "we'll see what happens"

BTW, Hutchins said, the day he committed to BAMA, that he was not 100% sure - so, who knows? :conf3:

like you've basically said, it depends on who you ask and on what day you ask....

two separate articles posted the same day on Hutchins....one said 100%, one said not sure.

I'm not as big on Goggans as some people are. I like Hutchins b/c he is actually comparable to AJ Jones. Both are lightning quick big hitters, that need to add a good bit of weight.

Nice Article on Jarred Fayson

Tidesports: Jarred Fayson I'm liking the fact that this guy gives us a shot and I think Tim Tebow is only giving us positive signs. I think getting a guy that Miami is recruiting as a QB ,as a Prothro-type makes our "Prothro" playbook a little bit larger and a little bit harder to scheme against. Good news for my Friday! i hate it when this thread is half way down. It needs to be on the top IMO.

He used to say it was a requirement for him to play QB in college, but Fayson has backed off that some. He likes the way we use Pro. However, I just don't see us getting him unless we get Tebow.

I don't think we get Fayson without TT either RTO. But at looking at all the things said by Tebow and the fact that he's gonna have gone to 3? games this year and in every other article about a premier WR, they mention TT as a positive influnce on them to go to UA. Even Tim Hawthorne said something like that in a recent article. (All i can say is if he doesn't choose UA, he would have been quite a recruiting tease. And no one likes a tease. Playing with my emotions and all.) I don't think he's a tease at all. He doesn't seem to be that type of person. And if he goes somewhere else, oh well I won't hold it against him either. At the moment, we have a pretty good recruiter at Nease HS, Mr Kirschman and i think his influence shouldn't be underestimated. IMHO i think we get him. And let him bring as many 5 star recruits with him as he wants to.

Jarred Fayson
Jarred Fayson, from Hillsborough High School in Tampa, (Fla.) is rated by Scout.com as the sixth-best receiver in the country and is one of the top 50 prospects in the country.

He started showing interest in Alabama after watching game performances of Alabama's Tyrone Prothro.

"I have been watching the way they use Prothro, and I really like that. I feel like I could go there and be exactly like him," Fayson said in an earlier interview with TideSports.com.
