:eek2: Now that would be some serious number crunching.
:BigA: RTR!
It's so much more fun following Coach Saban down the stretch when compared to xcms .
For the record , this is why I said I felt as many as 11 could be a remote possibility . It would have to be an asbsolute perfect storm but , think about how hard it would be to turn down most of these guys ......
Randle
Kelly
Bumphis
Massie
Moore
Cox
Stinson
Patrick
Myles
Kirkpatrick
B.Smith
Also , no matter how he's counted , Murphy now looks to be more promising than he ever has in the past .
I don't think it will come to pass for us but , as long as these guys and Lutzenkirchen are still out there it remains possible . In the end , I feel we'll finally get Murphy enrolled along with signing 7 or more of the other prospects mentioned . JOMO![]()
Will Murphy be a backcounter?

With two #1 ranked recruiting classes (50 players), on Bama's team, will it negatively effect the recruiting the next couple years? It hasn't seemed to hurt Saban's previous recruiting (or teams like USC, Texas, etc.) but it will be ammo for rivals negative recruiting.
BTW, I heard a sportscaster say that Bama was about to become "the USC of the East" in recruiting. Truer words were never spoken.......if USC can keep up with us!!!!!
I highly doubt it. Nine times out of ten the "cream of the crop" will go where the talent is, sure you'll miss out on a few that opt for places that can offer more immediate playing time but that's about it. I expect us to be around the top 5 in recruiting every year for as long as CNS is still here. JMHO.
I agree. Bama is one of the few real "names" in college football. Saban has shown that he can send guys to the pros and Bama is getting TONS of attention in tye press/tv - all big draws for recruits.I highly doubt it. If we sign five of these guys, I think we vault to no. 1 in the recruiting rankings.
As evidence as to how such recruiting can feed itself, watch the Patriots. They are starting a QB who never even started a game at USC, but was drafted and is now 7th in the league in passing yardage. In other words, if your talent level is high enough, you can sell the fact that you don't even have to start on our team to get a chance in the NFL.With two #1 ranked recruiting classes (50 players), on Bama's team, will it negatively effect the recruiting the next couple years?
