Ro McClain cut by Raiders

I really hope he gets his head straight and realizes all the doors football has opened before he ends up in a really bad situation. On the positive side, the Cowboys can use a LB and they have experience in dealing with issues... he and Dez Bryant could be roomies..

Hmm - him & Dez would be a recipe for disaster as roommates.

I like the way you think. Regrettably these days, I am still a Cowboy fan. We could definitely use help at MLB with Lee and Carter both gone for the year. The boys have been slaughtered with defensive injuries this year. Of course I am Bama biased, but I was hoping they would trade for Mark Ingram. He was supposedly on the trading block near the deadline. Instead they will keep drafting fragile Arkansas and Oklahoma running backs I suppose.

Wow. This is completely shocking. A completely stupid move by the Raiders. They could have traded him, even if it was for 50 cents on the dollar. Why waive him and get nothing? Meet the new Raider front office...same as the old Raider front office.

Sometimes it takes tough love for a person to realize the destructive road they're on. I hope he can draw on the strength he had when he played at Alabama to get him through this. Hate to see anyone give up a God given talent like this! I'll say a prayer for him and hope you will join me.

I completely agree talk about stupid ... wow ... oh he'll definitely land somewhere no doubt and they threw away money there.

You assume they could get 50 cents on the dollar . . .

I once heard an analyst discussing Coach Saban's players in the NFL. He said that Saban players often under perform in the NFL.

This does not reflect negatively on Saban. Rather, it's the opposite -- Saban is a master at maximizing a player's potential in college while he is their coach. Once they are "on their own" in the NFL, most players cannot maintain the same standard of consistent performance.

Sorry (if not entirely surprised) to hear Ro is not doing well...

Why? He almost never plays and when he does he's a liability. He spends more time making stupid comments on Twitter and Facebook than he does on the football field. We are about to find out what his value as a football player is now that he will be looking for a new team and don't be surprised when it isn't much.

living in the Bay Area, word was Ro was unhappy in Oakland and felt that there was no team unity. how much of that was true, who really knows? but one thing was evident, watching Ro body language on and off the field, he seemed very unmotivated. taking plays off were the main issues Raider fans had with him. Ro was also accused of not being a great run stopper was another complaint. many felt that he was primarily drafted to stop the run.

again, its very clear he was not happy in Oaktown. he posted his displeasure on Facebook for the world to see.
also Ro might have been pre occupied with looming penalties from the NFL on his incident in Bama.

hopefully he can wind up with a team that can use his talent.

Or hopefully he will utilize his talent on any team

would love to see him on the cowboys. regrettably, I too, am still a cowboy fan. at least the falcons have a few weeks before they disappoint me too :/. Although I have a feeling Tony G can be a savior in the playoffs.

This is sad it's literally been nothing but bad news out of him since he left Alabama. The few raider games I get on CBS he never really does much. Seems slow and plugs the wrong gap on run plays pretty consistently.

He is big, strong and can run. Word is he's football smart as well. The want to and discipline seems to be what is holding him back. Probably hard to let go of someone that physically gifted; Raiders must have been fed up.
