see you next week

yes its an opinion...that's why I preceded my statement with "I think"

:cool2:

I think the Big 10 sucks and this has been proven on the field over and over again in Big 10/SEC matchups over the years. Northwestern was lucky to beat Vandy a couple of weeks ago.
I thought we were talking about football? Please no references to Vandy and Northwestern when you want to talk about Alabama football.

As I said, we'll have to wait for more data to come in, but PSU is fairly likely to be the third team in the B10. When you get down to the middle of the SEC, you have teams with a lot more question marks than PSU...

Lets see...way off on a tangent here but I will make the claim that Florida, Arkansas, LSU, Awwbarn, South Carolina & Georgia would beat PSU.

I guess we have to put Old Mrs. in that group as well eh?
Maybe...you know they have some talented players but I guess what they say about one bad apple must be true. Masoli just doesn't belong there (IMO) and I think the team must be divided or something. I hope they figure all that out after 10/16.

I'll chime in on PSU since I get an awful lot of coverage up here on them and work with a ton of PSU grads. They have players, they have talent, they have coaching but something just isn't clicking with them right now. I think they are probably #2 or #3 in the Big10/11/12 but they have yet to really show that this year. I think everybody knows tOSU is the class of that league but would probably lose to at least 2 SEC teams. To say that PSU would lose to Florida, Arkansas, LSU, Awwbarn, South Carolina & Georgia might be a bit of a stretch. Game location would obviously play into this a little but I doubt UGA would be able to keep PSU out of the endzone, Florida might suffer since they have center-QB exchange issues and really only one player, Arky (who knows...yet), LSU lost to them just last January, Awlbren coin toss IMO, and USCe would probably be a FG contest. I think we need to see a few more games from this PSU squad to fully determine what they have this year.

Honestly I've blocked last year's game from memory though I've read mention of such here. We were no match last year but I believe the tide has turned this year, no pun intended.

Your offense, playing at it's best, could possibly score anywhere from 17 -28 points on our D. But your biggest problem is that our offense, playing at it's best, could score 41-56 on your D. Good luck, and you better hope Mallet doesn't go all "deer in the headlights" like he did against us last year.

I think Saban uses this game to make a statement. My prediction: Alabama 52 - Arkansas 17.

mallett isn't that good

Especially when he's running for his life, like he will be this Saturday. He reminds me of Bernie Kosar - good QB when he gets to stand in the pocket a while, but basically average and ineffective when he gets pressured. I look for him to throw several picks to our talented and speedy secondary this weekend.

I think Mallett was 12 of 35 against us last season in completions, and spent most of that afternoon hurried and out of the pocket--and most of that we forced without Donta Hightower on D for a good bit of that game because of the chop block injury. Add on to that, throughout our series, the better team has almost always gone on to win the game. We have the edge in talent and coaching, and because of that I think we'll pull it out.

My prediction--Bama 38 Arkansas 24

I'm continually amazed at the superstar qb's and the all everything teams in the SEC between Auburn, Arkansas, and USCe how do we the defending undefeated routing every team we play National Champions stand a chance!?!?

I don't like to dash anyone's hopes really I prefer they learn it the hard way.

I have a feeling they just may :).

Agree with everything but this.
Hightower was not chopped.
