I have to admit that Tim Tebow is a great young man and a great football player. I'll be honest, I will not miss him in the college game. We will not likely see anyone like him again soon. He is a great competitor and his performance in last years SEC championship game, in a way, brought out the best in our team this year. We knew we had to be our best to beat him. SO THANKS TIM TEBOW in helping Alabama becoming the best team in the nation.

Truth. He's one of my alltime favorite players and I am pretty proud that I called his "greatness" back when he was still in high school. I kept telling my friend he was gonna take the game by storm and I was really hoping he came to Bama. He's had a great career and by all accounts he's a great guy. I wish him much good fortune in the Sugar Bowl and his pro career.

Man he is such an athlete. Although I chuckled at the crying, we all know how much of an emotional person he is. We did a good job slowing him down definetly. If he goes to the NFL I will pull for him just like I do for peyton and I hated him in college.

He's a class act. he handled himself with humility after the game. I respect him as a competitor.
Yep.

Anyone who acts like they wouldn't LOVE to have had him play for 'Bama is lying or in denial (or both).

I'd be proud if my kids ended up like him, regardless of his athletic ability.

So many posters obviously never played sports or were sore losers when they did, it's sad seeing people take shots at a young man who has done more good for this world then most ever do.

I'm glad you started this thread Elefantman.

Like him or not Tim Tebow is one of the greatest players in college football history. No one can ever take this away from him. He's got two national championship rings and a Heisman trophy. I commented in another thread he is the best leader I have seen in college football in my 43 years and a tremendous competitor.

Honestly I hated to see him crying as the game was coming to an end. As great of a football players as he is, I think he's an even better person. He's been nothing but class. I take no satisfaction at all in seeing him cry.

Yes. The SEC will be talking about him for many years to come. Of most importance, he is a great example for young people to follow (away from the game of football). I'm just glad this is his senior year.

I have been a fan of Tebow's from the beginning. He is what we hope our sons will become, and I am not talking about football. I wish him nothing but continued success in his life...

In this day and age, any young man who can get a CBS announcer to read scripture live on national TV deserves every ounce of respect that I can give him. He's the real deal and I wish him all the best.

And what we want our daughters to marry. I would be proud to have Tebow as my son-in-law.

Tebow is a great player, and an even better man. I am so proud he isn't afraid to share his faith, and he really cares about people. I can't wait to see him play on Sunday's, but I am sure glad we got the best of him and the rest of the Gators today. Man, what a game! God Bless and Roll Tide!
