Regardless of what happens in the BCS game, I would not be in favor of erecting a statue of a coach while he's still at UA. I think any discussion of erecting a new statue is premature at best. We don't know what the future will bring, and as is the nature of college sports, anything can happen.
IMO it's much easier, and wiser, to wait until the time is right than to be forced into discussing the pros and cons of removing one.
Do you think winning the upcoming BSCCG will win Nick Saban a statue in that spot or not? and if so, would that statue be in place during his tenure or after he leaves?
I would bet my last dollar that the statue will not be put up while CNS is still coaching at UA. I could be wrong but I don't think he would like it. Also, we haven't won anything yet.
When you get down to your last dollar let me know and we'll bet. If CNS brings home #13 I think the statue will, and should be, erected ASAP after the victory. I don't understand why you would put it off. Then each year they can add another date to the space.![]()

Why can't we wait and have this discussion/argument until after we've won the game?:conf2:

THEN: Do we erase the Denny part and re-name the stadium to Bryant-Saban Stadium??? (Possibly in years to come, but not now.)
How'd I know this thread was coming?
