It's almost like we could have learned something from "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" with both the exaggerated claims of racist campaigns AND the "this candidate reminds me of Hitler."
1948 -
Harry Truman
And then there was - wow, can you believe this - "British observers" in 1964 seeing Adolph Hitler in the form of the modern-day "he was one of the good Republicans," Barry Goldwater....who, according to Senator Fulbright AT THE EXACT SAME TIME....was Stalin!

In September 1968, Hubert Humphrey told all of us George Wallace was Hitler and Nixon wasn't, but he had people in his party like that (Robert Byrd was in the Senate at the time for those who love irony). But two months later, well, Humphrey changed his mind and now NIXON was Hitler.
And then there were the three times
McGovern called Nixon "Hitler"....
And in 2016, Trump was also Hitler (except, of course, when Hillary was).
I'm willing to throw in and say I'm not pleased with where this whole thing is going, and the party of "law and order" is applying their "beliefs" with the same selectivity as the guy who decides who gets into the bar.
But making the same allegation for 80 years kind of deadens people to it, too.
