Where do we stand? 2/5

I know yesterday stung for some since Alabama did not sweep all the big targets like many hoped. Still was a solid class that filled needs, though.

247 ranked Alabama's class the #7 class in the nation. Of the six teams ahead of Alabama, only USC and Clemson had smaller classes. That's the main reason for Alabama's ranking.

1. Georgia - 26 recruits with a 94.23 average
2. Ohio State - 26 recruits with a 94.29 average
3. Texas - 27 recruits with a 92.21 average
4. USC - 18 recruits with a 94.23 average
5. Penn State - 23 recruits with a 91.70 average
6. Clemson - 17 recruits with a 93.45 average
7. Alabama - 19 recruits with a 92.78 average

Look at the player averages for Alabama classes since 2013:

2013 - 93.252014 - 93.652015 - 93.732016 - 92.542017 - 93.762018 - 92.78

Not to mention Jarez Parks, Bulovas, and Brannon counted toward the 2017 class instead of the 2018 class.

Anytime you sign a punter/kicker that number goes down. Plus we went after a couple of APB type kids -- with lower numbers too.

The biggest difference for me was, last year we signed 17 kids rated 95.0 or higher. This year 7......

I really don't think CNS will be angry with staff. Heck, most just got here.

Dunbar probably won't recruit anymore and someone like Champman or Pannunzio will instead.

Tosh wants to change some things in regards to DL recruiting philosophy.

Well that escalated quickly

I don't know how all of that works, but with the same number and a higher average, it looks to me that OSU is #1.

Great info RTR91. The average/player is an overlooked part of evaluating class rankings.
