Your Top 5

1. Ohio State : Far and away #1. Right now, they stand above the rest.
2. South Florida: I don't think they are actually the second best team in the country, but hey, they haven't lost, everybody else has.
3. Boston College: See the explanation for South Florida.
4. LSU: After the most physical game I've ever seen and missing their top WR, they nearly beat Kentucky on the road. Still top 5 material, for sure.
5. California: So they lost with their second-string QB. Longshore will be back, and all will be fine.

This is as of right this second and it's based on how good the team is NOW, not their record and in no particular order.

Oklahoma - Great offense, good defense.
Florida - Despite 2 losses they have an explosive offense.
West Virginia - Off this week but a very good offense.
LSU - Too much talent not to be a top five team.
Ohio State - They are undefeated and have shown they are a legit top 5 team over the past year and a half.

I might even put AU in there. Things are so wide open.

I don't like Boston College as a top 5 team because they haven't beaten a quality team. I don't like USF because I think a good defense can shut them down and that if they played WVU and AU now they'd lose both.

2. BC
3. OU
4. USF
5. LSU

OSU may be the most overrated #1 team in history right now, but that's how things have fallen into place right now. I still think LSU is the "best" team though.

Do ya'll really have BC in the top 5? i really dont even think they should be in the top 15. well I guess since they havnt lost YET they can stay their in the polls but the hard part of their schedule is coming up and I think they lose 2 or 3.

.

Hmmmm........2 losses and a top 5 team.......only 6 games into a season?
Probably not......

1. Ohio State
2. Boston College
3. South Florida
4. Oklahoma
5. LSU

That's at least how the polls probably wind up......

I agree that's what the pollsters will probably say...but I did mine just based on who I thought were the best five teams in the country right now.

South Florida
oklahoma
lsu
bc
OSU

South Florida has beat some good teams. osu hasn't beaten anyone.

I will not vote any team #1 that doesn't play in a conference championship game. never!!

  1. Ohio State - UNDEFEATED - Doubt they will stay that way!
  2. Oklahoma - 1 loss as of now? Talk about the Big-10, just how strong is the Big-12 this yr.!
  3. So. Florida - DEFENSE! OFFENSE? I know they're in the LOWLY big east, but then again so is W.V.!
  4. LSU - TALENT-TALENT-TALENT! How did they manage to lose? OH-CLM!
  5. So. Carolina - DEFENSE-DEFENSE Sounds strange saying that about an OBC team!

Fla. - Yeah they have talent, but talent doesn't always win ball games, and with 2 losses, like Shania Twain says, that don't impress me much.

W.V. - Good 'O' but a good 'D' shuts them down, aka So. Florida!

L.S.U. - ALL that TALENT couldn't quite pull it out for 'em!

After all is said and done if LSU and UF belong in the top five then I have to have UK in there, and also USC-they did beat UK!

Now back to AS THE WORLD TURNS!

WHY ARE YOU GUYS RANKING OKLAHOMA AHEAD OF LSU????? they both have one loss--- and lsu's is a "better" loss i think you guys are watching sports center too much...

top five

1. Ohio state
2. South Florida (yeah thats right they are undefeated and they beat Auburn.. i dont care what anyone says-- that was a quality win
3. LSU-- they lost in triple overtime to a "GOOD" SEC team
4. boston college-- just cause they are undefeated-- but they will lose
5. South Carolina
t5 oklahoma
And thats the way it is cause stone cold said so

they did play au-- and won:eek2:

What about WVU? Or did they lose to SFla?

OSU
Oklahoma
LSU
Boston Coll
SoCar

I'm still not sold on SFla or even WVU in the top five but parity has arrived; I would consider WVU more so because they have consistently been a good team in recent years. I remember and undefeated Utah getting left out of the mix before because of their schedule; Same goes for SFla. And yes I do realize they beat the barn, but how good are THEY really? Its too early to tell really. Too many games still to be played.
