Jerrell Harris eligibility???

Wow. This stinks more and more of an Aubie setup attempt to sabotage Alabama. What will the NCAA do when they see a consistent pattern involving this guy. He has nothing to do with Bama, friends say he's an Auburn fan, he is a business partner of a big Auburn donor. Will the light turn on in Indianapolis?

Well, at first I thought the whole Auburn conspiracy theory on this was silly. Now I'm starting to wonder... :conf2:

If it is a computer, then there is proof it cost more than the $100 benefit which is a different deal and I believe you have to miss games.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but maybe in this case...

Regardless, I hope a lesson was taught and learned by our players about extra benefits. I know they are young'uns, but get smart fast, fellas.

If there is even the slightest doubt (and in this case it sure seems like there should have been) don't do it! Call someone on staff and ask about it.

Here's hoping Harris gets the ok to play against VT. I think he can be a factor in this game.

Agreed, and this blows a hole in the "didn't know they were football players" argument he made too. He just happened to provide benefits for 3 of our players? Give me a break. There's got to be a way to nail this guy for what he's done. I just don't see how Auburn can get out of this scott free. And if they can, it sets an unimaginably bad precedent by the NCAA.

This has brought the rivalry to a new low. I really hope the rest of the nation starts to see the majority of Auburn fans for what they really are, and maybe this is the best avenue for that to happen. I hate it's working out this way, but maybe we actually get a little bit of public support from the way the Boogs are acting.

A lot of my friends, who happen to be fans of rival schools, think we've taken way too much flak this offseason and they all agree the fishing trip was much ado about nothing. All of them couldn't believe there was even a remote chance they'd get suspended, esp. since the guy who paid for everything was an Auburn booster.

I'd love to get honest opnions from the LSU, UT, Arkansas, VT, South Carolina, etc., fans who visit this site. Tell us what you guys think. Are we overreacting? What is your opinion of the Auburn fanbase after all of this has gone down. Please, I'd really love some input.

Our players need to learn how to say "no". Not matter what the intent is of this guy, our players still accepted his offerings. There is nothing the NCAA can do to this guy.

No, but here's hoping they can nail Auburn for a "Rogue Booster" the same way they nailed us.

Something smells rotten in Denmark.:mad2:

It's this stuff........smells worse than AllBarn.

Yes, the JH situation is what I've been referring to. FWIW, he claims to have paid for the laptop. Proof, as Cecil alludes to, is a problem. Also, FWIW, when JH switched his preference to Bama and signed with us, there were Auburn boosters who swore they'd "get him." Have they? BTW, his family, originally AU fans have morphed into barn haters, and I don't blame them. The barn has basically ruined itself in Gadsden for many years, and they deserve it...

My boss bought me lunch today so I don't think I'm eligible to watch this game. I'll submit my case to the NCAA tonight to see if I can.

Good night! When will this stop?

:mad::mad::mad::mad: x e^100.

Well heck, I have a kid that comes into my restaurant often and he is being recruited by auburn. Should I offer him free sandwiches?

If a player refuses to accept illegal benefits he will have no problem.

Do not put anything past the aub's. They will stoop to anything as they know they are unable to compete on anything resembling a level playing field.

This whole issue is beginning to look a bit too organized..
