Pretty classless if you ask me. He is a competitor and hates to lose. I know it hurts for him to lose, but different people show different emotions when the lose.
 
I have a feeling that a lot will be made of the "Tebow wept" moment in the coming days. I'll admit that I, too, felt a guilt satisfaction to see it.

The grin was wiped off my face by his classy comments in the interview immediately after the game. He had suffered the bitterest loss (perhaps) of his career and he could barely speak from the emotion, yet all he would say was what a classy program Alabama was and the respect he had for our team and our coach.

Well done, Mr. Tebow. You've represented your team, the SEC, and college football at large well. Best of luck to you.
 
Tebow showed you classy after the game. Congrats. Classy move by Saban calling for the knee there in the end as well.

I have to agree with you 100%. I felt a sick satisfaction seeing him cry, but then when they interviewed him and he said those classy things it brought me back to reality. Tim Tebow is without a doubt one of the best ambassadors for college football you could ask for. He is a classy individual and a fierce competitor. My dislike of him has been media inflicted. It's not his fault that the media has decided to make him into their sole focus for the past few years, and honestly you can't blame them. I really respect Tim Tebow and hope the gators go and destroy whatever team they play in the Sugar Bowl.

Hearing about Tebow going back to his senior year in high school has gotten old to me as an Alabama fan, but I have tremendous respect for not only the player Tebow is, but the person he is even moreso.

I have never seen a better leader in college football in my my 43 years. He is a fierce competitor and wanted to close out his senior year with another ring. He was hurting at the end of the game and I take no satisfaction in that. Tebow gets nothing but the utmost respect from me. He's a great, great player, a better person and has never been anything but class. I know he will be very successful in whatever he does in the future.

You are very right. He is a competitor. I enjoyed us beating him and containing him like we did but he is the real deal. I think his comments at the end were very classy and showed how to take a loss. In fact I told my 6 YO who watched the entire game with me "son, that's how you lose gracefully".

Nothing wrong with the tears. He had a lot of emotions running through his head. It was a tough loss.

A lot of this is a reaction of the relentless 'bromance," media man-crush on Tim Tebow, which has been disgusting, ubiquitous and over the top. Tebow has been a great player, a great ambassador for the University of Florida, the SEC and college football overall.
If the media had not been so over the top for so many years, folks would have more subtle reaction to Tebow.

One on level, I am glad he is gone, because he plays for a rival school. On the other, he has been pretty spectacular for the last four years. I wish him well.
 
This borders on classless, but I also felt a sense of satisfacton seeing him cry. I don't think we were weeping last year.

I'm relieved for two reasons. !: We win and are in the BCSCG! 2: We won't have to listen to all the Tebow hype leading up to it.

I will pull for the Gators in the Sugar Bowl.

I don't think this is Tebow's fault. :smile:

When you look at everything he's done over his career, I think he deserves the attention and hype he's gotten. Few players can compare to Tebow when you compare accomplishments in their college careers. Tebow has been phenominal.

Not to take anything away from Florida's team last year, but without Tebow's performance in the SECCG, Florida does not beat Alabama. He was the difference in the game plain and simple. I have nothing but respect for Tebow. I wish he had played at Alabama.
 
So he cried, so what? He had put everything he had into leading the Gator's to their 1st ever perfect season and saw his dream crumble. Try to imagine the disappointment he was feeling instead of ridiculing him.

He showed what he was made of in his interview after the game. Pure class and I would have been extremely proud to have seen him in Crimson.

I felt/feel exactly the same. We all cheered when they showed Tebow crying on the sidelines, but really I kinda felt bad for him. His interview just put the game in perspective-both teams are filled with competitors, and even though Tebow and Florida got their butts kicked, there is no reason to "kick em while they're down". I have cried after a loss before...
