Tebow plays with a passion, and loses with passion. Posting multiple times of him crying and making fun of it is classless.
Win with class, dont show your @$$.

I agree. I thought that was the ultimate showing of class. I am glad we don't have to face him ever again! :BigA:I have a feeling that a lot will be made of the "Tebow wept" moment in the coming days. I'll admit that I, too, felt a guilt satisfaction to see it.
The grin was wiped off my face by his classy comments in the interview immediately after the game. He had suffered the bitterest loss (perhaps) of his career and he could barely speak from the emotion, yet all he would say was what a classy program Alabama was and the respect he had for our team and our coach.
Well done, Mr. Tebow. You've represented your team, the SEC, and college football at large well. Best of luck to you.
Excellent point.Tebow plays with a passion, and loses with passion.
Perfectly said...except I do blame them [the media]. It is still a team game.I have to agree with you 100%. I felt a sick satisfaction seeing him cry, but then when they interviewed him and he said those classy things it brought me back to reality. Tim Tebow is without a doubt one of the best ambassadors for college football you could ask for. He is a classy individual and a fierce competitor. My dislike of him has been media inflicted. It's not his fault that the media has decided to make him into their sole focus for the past few years, and honestly you can't blame them. I really respect Tim Tebow and hope the gators go and destroy whatever team they play in the Sugar Bowl.
that statement was taken a little out of context. I admit I hated all the hype he recieved but that doesn't take away from the kind of person he is. I can't see how any parent, player, coach, or christian can be upset with the way he carried himself in the loss tonight.I also remember last year him talking about the toughest part was high fiving all the fans after the game. Most players in college football are just as classy as tim tebow!
You shouldn't cry in public. He does it EVERY time he loses a game. It's childish. Swallow it, shake their hands, and go home and cry in your room. Sorry. That's just how I feel.
I think when you play with the emotion and passion Tebow does, it's not the easiest thing to swallow. :smile:You shouldn't cry in public. He does it EVERY time he loses a game. It's childish. Swallow it, shake their hands, and go home and cry in your room. Sorry. That's just how I feel.
Indeed.I see no shame in his tears at all.
Great post. You know, after reading Tebow threads for four years now, I wish some of our posters had the opportunity to live in the bubble that's been created for him for the same time period. Take the topic of this thread for instance... some of us think it's admirable he cry - others mock him for it. Just once I'd like to see some folks who's never been there actually get there and see what it would be like. I'm sure I'd make my share of mistakes and I'm sure I'd get tired of the never-ending criticism that comes from overexpectations that's put on the back of a college student.
Nobody is upset with the way he carried himself but he's not the only player that has lost a ballgame for crying out loud.that statement was taken a little out of context. I admit I hated all the hype he recieved but that doesn't take away from the kind of person he is. I can't see how any parent, player, coach, or christian can be upset with the way he carried himself in the loss tonight.
Agreed. Emotion should never be part of football. It's a good thing no Bama player has ever cried, otherwise we'd be wearing rocks throwing glass houses.Totally Agree!! Theres a time when you gotta MAN UP!!
The kid is the best competitor I've ever seen. Unless those of you who want him to "man up" are man enough to tell that to his face, why don't you keep the thoughts to yourself.Indeed.
Some people have enough self confidence they don't worry about what other people think...
