Bama-San Jose St. TV??

This is driving me crazy. I live in Pensacola, FL and can check with Cox and see every other game available (everything from LSU down to Vanderbilt) on that day except for this one. I just want to know if it'll be on PPV in this area. I have ESPN3 and can hook up one of the laptops to the TV but I'd rather not do that since streaming video never looks as nice on the 42inch.

In Pensacola you should be able to get the game on TV via ESPN GamePlan if you want to subscribe.

I want to purchase just this single game but the listings in the area for single purchases right now are just for different baseball games. They do not yet have a listing for this game though they should offer it, in the past I have ordered single game PPV's.

Yah, ime the local provider doesn't have that info until about Wednesday before each game.

I think the blackout will still apply to ESPN3 subscribers who live in the effected area. The trick (cheat) is to open a new ESPN3 account using a physical address in a different part of the country. Then when you go to the BAMA games that are normally blacked out, you'll still be able to watch it online.
Believe me, it works. :biggrin2:

I have U-Verse and my plans are to use my MacBook Pro to play the game via ESPN3 online over my 50inch Samsung TV. I have done this in the past and it provides one killer picture!

I can understand doing this to avoid the PPV charges but this setup doesn't allow you to DVR the game to rewatch later correct?

Also this brings up another question...also will the PPV be shown in HD?

Also for the Uverse subscribers here...start checking around Tuesday to see if the game is listed. Look at channels PPV 100-107 or ESPN GamePlan 4401-4406.

As soon as I see it I will post in this thread.

I don't have a clue who my IP carrier is.

Who do you send a check to every month for internet? That's your ISP.

Yeah the quality sucks on ESPN3, but it never hurts to have a backup. I've been screwed over multiple times in ATL when Comcast has blacked a game out that wasn't supposed to. I suppose the person in charge of blackouts is a UGA alum.

I'm a new U-verse subscriber & I have been in a panic! Thank you, thank you, thank you.....I have been looking for 3 weeks & still don't see it listed.

Can't believe this game is ppv. We are the defending National Champion and our first game is not on tv anywhere. Give me a break. I just checked out the games on ESPN Saturday and they have Fla v Miami (Ohio)....really. Western M Texas v Rice... Come on. I realize that we aren't playing a great team, but Rice and Miami(Ohio) over our game. Unbelievable

Oh well, Im either going to watch it on gameplan or go out and meet up with the local alumni group here in Austin.

Every SEC team has at least one PPV game each season now. BAMA's just happens to be the first game. I see you are in Austin, Tx. According to Chip Brown (yes that one) there is a place for SEC games.

Check out @LavacaStreet Bar & Grill, Austin's new home for SEC football this season (and their "bacon Thursdays"). ... Lavaca Street Bar - Austin, TX

Funny but does anyone know of a "Big12" bar anywhere in SEC country?

I asked the same question, because I seem to have a memory that they were going to HD...

Regarding the "quality" of the picture on the FREE ESPN3 programming, I watched a little of the high school game they were streaming last night and it looked to be in High Definition. That depends on the feed.

Does the Crimson Tide Sports Network provide a high definition broadcast?
