It takes a few classes to stockpile the talented depth a team needs to get through conference play, conference championship and playoff series. Georgia is getting there, but as both Bama and UGA discovered in 2019, injuries can derail those National Championship plans. Going into 2019 our lack of talent and experience at WR was a well documented problem. It turned out to be more of issue than most Georgia fans imagined.

Some on this board have said that Georgia fans are a patient lot. Some are and some aren't. If we don't win a National Championship within the next 3 years the natives will be out with pitchforks even if Kirby is their native son.
Wow! What insight! 😱

The Georgia offense is pathetic. How on earth do they get Smith and Washington (if he signs) and we can't get any stud wide receivers or tight ends to join one of the most prolific offenses of the last few years? And we have the best QB signed? Makes no sense to me.
Negativity......... “Saban’s too old” etc

Its all good if we miss on Washington I am sure we can find a TE in the Portal. But when Young starts slinging the ball around like we all think and hope he will then this years loss will be next years gain. We will be attracting the likes of what we have now in Juedy , Ruggs, Smith, Waddle etc.

Bingo. Young's commitment to Alabama may not affect the 2020 class as much as it will the 2021 class and beyond.
some of the best WRs committed to other schools before they knew about Young. most fans didn't expect them to de commit just because BY came on board.
if BY is everything we hope for, you will see similar results as we did in 2017 class when Tua came in.

They probably told the recruits they were going to change the offense like LSU did and they wanted to be a part of that. LSU got all the attention this year.

Hey, we still have a couple slots open for the final signing period. I expect Bryce Young’s commitment, and his influence with remaining recruits (hard to recruit super fast receivers out of Miami when the QB is in SOCAL) to pay dividends between now and Final signing day.

Darnell Washington has not signed with Clemson! All of my sources are saying he and Ringo signed their LOI's to UGA. There's also a lot of chatter that another 5* has done the same, but wants to keep it quiet until the UA All Star game. If Georgia were to land all three that would be enough per 247's calculator to overtake Clemson for the #1 class.

Couldn't...care...less...

If Fromm leaves we have Stetson Bennett XIV (joke) and D Mathis (if he's medically cleared) and then Carson Beck. Stetson knows the offense and is much more mobile than Fromm, but he's a bit too much of a gunslinger for my liking. Mathis is an interesting prospect... very strong arm, mobile and can tuck and cover ground quickly. He's a bit thin, so hopefully by fall camp he puts on more good weight. Talented kid.

Carson Beck's QB coach out of Jacksonville thinks he's the best HS QB in the country. That doesn't hold a lot of water with me, but it does speak to potential. Regarding his senior season - their offense had to replace the entire OL and WR's. He was left with less talented and inexperienced players around him, hence the drop off.

Beck is currently on campus and going through Bowl practices. He'll have plenty of time to get familiar with the offense and WR's.

I just scanned a UGA message board and saw a picture of Washington, Z Evans, Beck, and Ringo all in UGA gear standing together with their finger near their mouth with the "be quiet" insinuation. Not sure when it was taken. Supposedly they all have signed their LOI (well we know Beck has).

Kirby is doing a great job of recruiting. Not sure how he is doing it. I would really like to know what negativity he is saying about Bama and Saban. I can only imagine.... I liked Kirby when he was at Bama, but not so much now due to what he did/said when he left.

If Kirby can get a good OC and be a better in game coach, he will eventually win a NC with all that talent stockpiled. I really wish Bama did not have to play them in the regular season next year, especially so early. At least it is a home game for Bama.
Why assume he is recruiting negatively towards Bama? Gator fans are claiming the same thing. Nobody can seem to figure how Kirby is able to recruit so well even though he did it for almost a decade at Bama. There should be no mystery. The guy flat out knows how to relate to kids and their parents, not to mention he believes in the product he's selling. The formula is simple: nationally ranked academics (13th in the nation), great facilities, large investments in the pipeline, beautiful campus, top 3 ranked college town in America and has the largest support staff in Div. 1 football.

Based on everything a HS coach sees in Jacksonville. High praise indeed...

Exactly SJC. We will rake up next year plus I think some people are sleeping on Jones-Bell. He will be special IMO.

Until Kirby becomes a MUCH better game day coach, I'm not losing sleep over his recruiting. The longer he goes without actually winning something other than an embarrassingly weak SEC East, the sooner the kids will search for a new "flavor of the day."

I didn't say High School coach. I said QB coach. He hired a specialist like most top QB's do. This QB coach has a lot of clients. Like I said, I don't put a lot of stock in it. We'll have to see how it pans out. I still think Fromm is coming back.
