Then it would be a reason, not an excuse, no?It has been a really mild summer here. Florida humidity is worse. So it is a valid excuse.

hot and muggy can take a tollSaban mentioned the heat and atmosphere as affecting play.
Also, I am not sure if you work out outside during the summer, but there is only so much that you can do to prepare for the physical aspects of heat + humidity, even if you train in it every day. At some point you reach your body's peak ability to cope with the heat + humidity. Working harder then becomes counter-productive.It has been a really mild summer here. Florida humidity is worse. Your body cannot dump heat fast enough once the temp + dew point reach 120 combined. They were over 150 during the game - especially early in the game. That is crazy hard for your body to manage. At some point it becomes physically impossible and you just get weaker and weaker as your body starts shutting down muscle fiber to save your life.
I wonder if they do any core cooling at halftime for football teams. Not enough time for ice baths. That's when the cramps (and the IVs) kick in...
Jalyn Armour-Davis should be the defensive POTW. Yes, he got beat in single coverage 2 or 3 times, but that’s just life as a corner in the modern game. Obviously, the stop on the 2 point try was the difference in the outcome, but don’t forget his interception and the PBU on 3rd and goal. The pick led to a TD, and the PBU kept 3 or 4 points off Florida‘s end of the scoreboard. So that’s up to 11 points in our favor made possible by those 2 crucial plays!Well, with the possible exception of Sanders, can`t think of a " Game Ball " worthy performance on the D side of the ball. My hope is that we just witnessed the low point of the season a la Ole Miss last year.
It absolutely works, but is only temporary if you plan to continue to work out in the heat. I use tailwind products when I run in the heat because they are easily absorbed and help me avoid electrolyte problems. But they don't lower my core body temperature.BTW, if you get cramps from heat/dehydration, drink dill pickle juice or eat a teaspoon of mustard. Either will interfere with the neuron transmission and stop the cramp quickly.
When I play golf in the 90's -- with high humidity -- I walk and I always get cramps later in the day/at night. I never get them when playing. Stops mine completely...but then I'm not out in the heat.It absolutely works, but is only temporary if you plan to continue to work out in the heat. This should be a humbling experience for our team. The problem is - there is so much to fix, I don't know if this team can reach the level of play to be championship caliber. We have been through this before so there is hope.I’ve got news for you, that was the same offense Mullen ran at Miss st. Not a whole lot of newfangled stuff there . That was an old fashioned butt whipping up front on both sides of the ball!
I would hate to be in the LB/DB/DL/OL film review rooms tonight or tomorrow -- whenever they do it. They will fix it -- if it is fixable -- no matter what....This should be a humbling experience for our team. Yeah, i was surprised at how well Bama played against it later in the game. They were obviously working on it on the sidelines, but man, incorporating that into a standard defensive scheme can't be easy. You can tell it wasn't because you had guys playing both the QB and pitch man in order to shut it down. Thankfully we have guys twitchy enough to do this...He said that they surprised us with it. It's hard to stop when you just see it once a year, as with the service academies, when you're expecting it, because it takes different disciplines than conventional defense. Having to do it in the middle of a game must have been nightmarish. Given the surprise factor, we didn't do badly against it...
Again - and I could be 100% wrong - but if Bama had executed with the same intensity all four quarters that they did in the first, do you think you'd feel this way? This should be a humbling experience for our team. The problem is - there is so much to fix, I don't know if this team can reach the level of play to be championship caliber. We have been through this before so there is hope.
I'm betting the coaches had their hat in their hand when they met with Saban today.I agree..............and they will build on it..............Saban needs to light a fire under some coaches possibly

Your points are well taken. Teams sometimes perform poorly and still manage to pull out a win as we did against UF, but my point is that having a perfect, undefeated season is not going to happen if we play this poorly in every game. We have to fix our front line play on both sides of the ball. If that can be achieved, everything else will fall in place. I realize the game has changed but I am somewhat "old school" and still believe fundamental line play is key to success. A lot of questions answered after Ole Miss comes to town.Again - and I could be 100% wrong - but if Bama had executed with the same intensity all four quarters that they did in the first, do you think you'd feel this way?
UF didn't just suddenly figure out how to play against a team stacked with better players - it takes two to tango...
If Bama had stayed intense and focused in the second quarter and we entered the half up 45-10 this discussion isn't happening. I believe Saban will fix this, and I think there's less to fix than initially seemed.
Especially when the announcer said he recorded the time at 3:03 after their last TD but they put 3:10 on the clock. Take those 7 seconds away and we wouldn’t have needed to punt at the end.Am I the only one that thinks there was some funny business going on with the time clock? I think someone was trying to get extra seconds for their Gators.
No! I wouldn‘t! That’s just the thing, It’s two fold! If they kept intensity, they would score more, put the Gators further behind and make them one dimensional. A dimension thats not their specialty!Again - and I could be 100% wrong - but if Bama had executed with the same intensity all four quarters that they did in the first, do you think you'd feel this way?

Line play has always been the key to success! no Matter how pretty and shiny the other toys may be!Your points are well taken.
