Game Thread: Florida at Utah (ESPN)

I just don't get it.

I mean......this is why teams have OC's.

To get someone who understands the right plays to call.

Sadly - I don't see anything changing.

Going to be another long season......:(

QB looks better than Richardson just from the little I watched. Execution needs to improve, they should see improvement overall during the year.

Ever since 2019

2022- 3hrs 32mins

The biggest difference is teams are passing more now than 10 years ago. More incompletions means more times clock stops. The running clock on 1st downs won’t make that much of a difference overall. This will hurt more teams than other though. Take a team like Tennessee. It doesn’t matter if it’s 1st down or 3rd down, they trying to snap the ball ever 12-15 seconds. This is going to hurt teams that run more or a pro style offense than a team that runs tempo every play.

Tennesse fan deluding himself into thinking the new rules are going to benefit hurry up teams. Yeah, NFL has a running clock and everyone goes hurry up there.

Missed this one last night and was surprised that FLA lost by 2 scores when I looked up the Box Score stats.

Then I watched the condensed game highlights…

Multiple deep drives into Utah territory and came up with nothing.

1 Pick, Missed FG, Multiple Turnovers on downs.

Utah cashed in on almost all of their opportunities.

Fla flushed theirs straight down the toilet.

Mertz looked pretty decent throwing the ball but the Gators rushing game was bad.

Even if you take away the lost QB yardage they only gained 40 yards on 20 carries.

Yikes…
