I don't think the ACC is going to dissolve anytime soon. They just announced a restructuring of their annual payouts based on a school's participation in the tournaments that matter. Capitalism wins again. LOL
Really doesn’t mean anything. We have heard the same thing out of the PAC 12 and the Big XII. When everyone starts to see the profits Vandy and Rutgers are making then the debate is going to get worse. You also have to factor in how many times a team like Pittsburgh ends up being their champion. Then you have to consider the ND issue.I don't think the ACC is going to dissolve anytime soon. Yes. Because uneven revenue sharing is never going to get Clemson and Florida State to the level that Rutgers and Vanderbilt will be enjoying.Really doesn’t mean anything. That's literally the beginning of the end of the conference...I don't think the ACC is going to dissolve anytime soon. They just announced a restructuring of their annual payouts based on a school's participation in the tournaments that matter. Capitalism wins again. LOL![]()
And the rest of the conference will now fall behind everyone else at an even faster pace.Yes. Because uneven revenue sharing is never going to get Clemson and Florida State to the level that Rutgers and Vanderbilt will be enjoying.
It's a band aid.
They tried. They did all they realistically could do to keep up.Its a basketball league for the majority of the members. They did everything backwards over the last 30 years. The basketball schools should have gone to the Big East, and the football schools should have migrated to the SEC to begin with but you always had two universities that gave all the rest a sliver of hope that they could be more than they really were. We are looking at you Good Ol Days FSU and the current mantle holder Clemson.![]()
The ACC kicked over a can of worms when they favor more money for certain schools.I don't think the ACC is going to dissolve anytime soon. They just announced a restructuring of their annual payouts based on a school's participation in the tournaments that matter. Capitalism wins again. LOL![]()
As is Arizona St. ND is already in the B10 for hockey, a sport ASU sponsors.Miami and Notre Dame are now AAU schools.
The puzzle pieces are falling into place. As is Arizona St. ND is already in the B10 for hockey, a sport ASU sponsors.
I have heard that it is Utah that will be joining them.Rumors swirling that Colorado (and some yet unnamed partner school, most likely) are expected to announce a move to the B12 in the next 30 days or so.
Then the B12 commissioner says: Big 12 open to further expansion, commissioner Brett Yormark says
Ha, buffaloes…cows…They never should have left in the first place. Now they might can be the bell cow ( so to speak ) in the B12.
Then the Arizona schools will be right behind them I would think.I have heard that it is Utah that will be joining them.
Radio host Greg Swaim, who is very plugged into the Big 12 landscape, reported over the weekend multiple sources have told him Colorado and Arizona are as good as gone from the PAC-12, but there’s no word yet on Utah or Arizona State.
Swaim’s reporting lines up with previous reports that the Buffaloes and Deion Sanders are getting ready to shock the college football world. However, the addition of Arizona getting ready to cut ties is new.
He also correctly noted nothing is final until the ink dries on whatever kind of media deal the PAC-12 might be able to scrounge up.
I have heard that the Big 12 wants to be the Big 24According to Outkick.com, it looks like it is going to be Colorado and Arizona that makes the first move. I thought it would be Colorado and Utah to go first, but if it is Colorado and Arizon I would be surprised if Arizona St and Utah are not close behind.
