Bama Game Thread: Bama PostGame Thread - Bama vs. OU...

10-2 and we should be in with the SOS we have had over other 10-2 teams...but this CFP committee is a bunch of useful idiots..they have Miami still in and behind ND...plus other rankings that are head scratchers....only thing we can do is win out and then hope. A win today would have practically guaranteed a spot

I don't blame the pick-six or the late fumble when beginning his passing motion on Simpson. The receiver was interfered with on the interception; the throw looked on target. On the fumble, the pass rusher was on Simpson in no time; not on his "blind side" but still at an angle that Simpson could not see him.

Simpson missed on some throws, including the last possession when he threw short to an open receiver. He still struggles on getting rid of the ball when he should.

Show me these amazing plays they made? I’ll wait…

Bama shot themselves in the foot the entire game. Game shouldn’t have been close. You simply cannot EVER give up ~220 yards and lose a game. Can’t happen.
Well, a pick-6 is one. Very difficult to win a game any time you throw a pick-6. Not impossible, but much more difficult.
Next, you should look at all the Bama turnovers, near turnovers, turnovers overturned by replay, etc. Some of that was hitting Bama players hard. Others were a result of hustling after the ball.
Finally, Bama's left and right tackles got beat by the outside rush over and over and over. Sometimes even with a RB or TE outside chipping the DE.
The Sooner offense wasn't great, but the Sooner defense played well, and forced catastrophic mistakes by the Bama offense.

You outgain a team by 200 yards, you ought to win the game. But turnovers and special teams lost the game.

Can someone explain to me why we are so deliberate on offense down late in the 4th quarter? We took the air out of the ball and left ourselves no other chances when we didn’t make the 4th down near midfield. Go quick. It probably would help against the pressure and defensive complexity, but also have urgency to you know……take the lead!

That’s fine. I guess we just get used to losing at least 3 games a year and hoping to make a 12 team playoff.

Every game is close. We make it close. You can’t win them all when they are all literally one possession games. We ****ed this game away.

That’s on the coach.
For crying out loud man, the coaches didn’t make our guys turn the ball over. You think that’s part of their gameplan? Take a breath

If they’re gonna punish teams for losing the championship game then championship games need to disappear

It’s the totality of the season.

Unless there are explainable losses and enough external chaos across CFB it’s going to be tough putting a 3 loss team in and excusing it.

We have a horrific albatross loss to FSU

Puked against OU again.

Can’t afford a 3rd loss. Just can’t.

The OU Defense dominated the game. Handled the run game, put constant pressure on Ty, and covered the passing game the entire game. Just an outstanding defensive plan and effort on their part.
I have said it on several occasions this season, a team that can only pass is like a basketball team whose only offense is shooting 3-point baskets. If the 3s are dropping, great. If you have a cold night shooting 3s, then that team is in trouble.
A football team that can only pass and not run can win, as long as the passing attack is working. When the passing attack has an off night (or is made to have an off night by the opposing defense), then that team is in trouble. Venables made Simpson have an off night. Bama had no running game to fall back on.

As a kicker, I can say the kick should have been made. Ball was down at the time of the kick and his motion and timing didn't look to have been affected. Hollering at the snapper after you miss ANOTHER kick was not a good look.

Is Fawlty Talty's NIL deal with a 'stache wax company? - 'Cause he's sure waxed 'Bama confidence in the kicking game back to the Wide Right Left and Left Short Ages

Some of you that only come on here and post when we lose need to get another cup of shut the heck up! Blaming TY on the pick six and the fumbles, the last pass at the end, the pick our receiver was knocked off the route before the ball got there should've been PI, the fumbles were caused by bad pass blocking, and the last play was all he had, we would not be this far with out him, so alot of yall need to go back to watching HG TV with your wife and shut up
